I JUST realised little Theo is one of the commanders wives in handmaids tale

Jaimie-Lea Livingstone

ahhh I love this so much. Shout out to them, and you

Franklin

My parents always told me, me and my sister we were never theirs to control. when they chose to keep us in my moms belly it was knowing that they would be able to choose a good path for us or that we wouldn’t be there to fulfill their own dreams. they told me the only thing they knew they could do was to support us if we ever landed in any dark place. this is the closest thing you can do to protecting your children from the world, giving them a safe place they can always return to when it hurts. and hell knows we were hurting. but they were always there, we never lost our parents love no matter how many others would’ve. they’re the best parents i could’ve ever asked for and now i try and give it all back to them, all that unconditional love.

Camila

I just gotta pop in here to say vasectomies are reversible lol Also, Frank, have you heard of or watched The Handmaid's Tale? It's an amazing TV series, 5 seasons so far. Highly recommend.

Meghan

Mike Flannigan's work is some of the most beautiful, cutting, and expressive I've ever seen. I, personally, prefer Bly Manor to Hill House, but Hill House definitely gut punches me way harder in the end. I've watched it over many times and never have I stayed dry eyes through the end. I'm glad you got to experience it and enjoy it. And that you did the force yourself to talk about it the end. It's something you have to process. I always warn my friends when I recommend it to make sure they're in the headspace for something like it. Thank you for letting us watch your experience.

Ally.C

I shared this with my good friend who's going through a divorce. She was in tears. I asked her to give some of that love to my wife and I. All that love that she is holding in

Franklin

Beautiful poem. It's recited by a character in another one of Mike Flanagan series, The Midnight Club

Rosilane Moreira

Amen to that. Executed so beautifully

Franklin

🫡🫡

Franklin

So true. She doesn't have a present. So hard watching her suffer

Franklin

I love that. Nell's messages meant different things at different times. Thanks for watching and enjoying it Gabriela. Yes I'm excited to see these familiar actors play different roles when I check out the other shows

Franklin

I see. So messed up

Franklin

So fucking beautiful

Franklin

true. Knowing that there's absolutely nothing we can do is brutal

Franklin

Honestly, episode 9 is the scariest one to me. It's watching a genuinely good person, someone we care about, being broken and eaten alive by a monster, and we can't stop it or save her. The house is going to corrupt her, then it's going to take her away from us, and she did nothing to deserve it and there's nothing we can do.

Noct

I think the poem "Epitaph" by Merritt Malloy sums up my feelings about the messages of this show best: "When I die Give what’s left of me away To children And old men that wait to die. And if you need to cry, Cry for your brother Walking the street beside you. And when you need me, Put your arms Around anyone And give them What you need to give to me. I want to leave you something, Something better Than words Or sounds. Look for me In the people I’ve known Or loved, And if you cannot give me away, At least let me live on in your eyes And not your mind. You can love me most By letting Hands touch hands, By letting bodies touch bodies, And by letting go Of children That need to be free. Love doesn’t die, People do. So, when all that’s left of me Is love, Give me away."

Noct

I agree, although I doubt the house had to push Poppy as much as Olivia. Such a great show.

Devon Michelle

When she's telling Liv about her bad dreams, I interpret it as her describing how she killed her children. I think maybe the house lead her to that action and she does the same thing to Liv, manipulating her into killing Abigail and Nell. I don't know if it makes any sense, but maybe Liv is an echo of Poppy, but one that has the "line" to ground her

Rosilane Moreira

Poppy was insane, she’s the one who William brought home from the asylum. I think she just likes messing with people, that’s why Hazel called her a ‘liar’.

Devon Michelle

haha noo i just have a terrible sleeping pattern 😭💀

alex !!

Also another thing I noticed was when Nell appeared to Luke in rehab, she says “Go”, and then he leaves rehab. But it’s another example of time not being linear, Nell keeps uttering “don’t” and “go” at different times of the show but they have different meanings each time. ugh so sad and happy at the same time that you finished the show, it was such a great experience for me watching you react to it, you’re one of my absolute favourite reactors. I love how you analyze all the details and you never miss a beat! I was so happy when you realized the window detail of the red room! Haha thank you! Can’t wait for what you choose next! ❤️ if you do choose another Flanagan show it’ll be cool to see some of the familiar actors take on such different characters. Each show really becomes its own bubble it’s wild

Gabriela Popescu

lol thank you!!!

lex ✰

Thank you!

lex ✰

why tf do i look so mad in this thumbnail🤣🤣

Franklin

When you said we hadn't focused on the present yet in Mom's episode and I'm just like 😭😭😭 because mom didn't have a present to flash forward too 😭😭 the ending of her episode fr made me cry

Sydney

Definitely continue to Bly and Midnight Mass at least! They're just as, to quote Wicked, tragically beautiful AND beautifully tragic. Lol

Jessi

Every single flippin time, when Mrs. Dudley dies and is shown in the afterlife finally reunited with their girls...I'm a MESS. Sobbing, laughing, sinking to the ground. It always hits me. Only art can affect people so profoundly. This is art and it'll outlive all of us.

Jessi

Worth it.

Moon Brooke

Wow you’re fast !! I’m so glad you like it! enjoy the rest of the vid 😊😊

Camila

ahhh that is so real. Without malice but still impactful

Franklin

They're all on the table

Franklin

I'm almost done watching it. I started watching it this morning while I was making breakfast. So fucking good. Yes yes. I'll definitely check out more of his work

Franklin

Now that you finished it you need to go watch that video essay from lady knight the brave !! 😂 I promise it’s really good. Can’t wait to see you react to more Flanagan shows 🙏🏻

Camila

This is honestly one of my favourite shows. I do hope you do the fall of house ushers. I think its my second favourite by him.

Akaash Sidhu

The way I see the deaths of Olivia and Nell is that the house manipulates you, most of all showcased in Olivia’s case, but neither Nell nor Olivia willingly chose “suicide”. Olivia pushed Nell off the ledge because she was tired of being alone in the house and she wanted to “wake her up”. Poppy Hill (the flapper girl) pushed Olivia off the ledge because she was just full send on the evil intentions of the house. The house killed them. Hugh (dad) made a willing sacrifice to make Olivia let the kids out and stay with his love. It was easy to forget when you hadn’t seen Poppy Hill yet but Mrs. Dudley talked about her lore in the episode where Steve is decorating that vanity for mom. She was in an insane asylum, met her husband there. She was far more susceptible to being manipulated then an evil tool of the house.

Amanda Hill

I’m not sure I agree..I think Olivia’s whole character got sucked out by the house, everything she goes through can be attributed to depression, it’s a bit on the nose but when she talks about how all the colors disappeared and she feels nothing but fear it sounds like a lot of depressed people. Anyone who’s extremely depressed and dissociating can commit suicide even though they don’t truly want to die, and Poppy is the intrusive thoughts trying to break us down into choosing to die. In my opinion you’re never truly yourself when you make such a decision, in fact it’s partly because you lost yourself that you leave.. Idk if maybe I’m reading into it too much but the whole show makes mental ilness parallels through supernatural events. Mike Flanagan tends to do that with all his show too ! Anyways sorry for yapping that much I hope my point was interesting at least.❣️

Camila

I saw someone saying that Luke's story is so tragic because he is deeply hurt and traumatized 'cause no one ever believes him, and we feel so much for him, but we're no different, because we also never believed him all the times he said that Abgail was real. That broke my heart a little bit. We do that without malice, but we do it all the time, specially with children. We think, just because we have knowledge that he doesn't have (about his future), that we know better than baby Luke, that he just doesn't fully understand things. 💔

Ana Cristina Freitas

For reallllllll..she was real?!!! Omg this show! Baby Luke was always right. She’s real

Franklin

Preach🙏🏾

Franklin

Gadd I’m happy they stuck with the happy ending 😭 that would have been too much

Franklin

Oh shit. Were you studying?

Franklin

I’m so sorry my late upload times fuck up so many sleeping schedules 😭😂

Franklin

Haha sounds like you turned tf up🎊🥳 happy birthday lex

Franklin

Agreed

Franklin

😂😭 like why tf were her eyes like that

Franklin

Fun fact, Mike Flanagan was considering including the small window from the red room in Luke’s 2nd year Sober scene, but opted for a happier ending instead - I adore this series so much it’s so cleverly written and I cry every single time. You should definitely check out Midnight Mass and Bly Manor, they’re equally as good. (Although Hill House remains my favourite)

Lailaaa

Happy birthday!!

Rosilane Moreira

One of the best if not the best movie of this genre I have ever experienced. I did not watch a movie series. I watched art that was so engaging that I can truly state. It was an experience that I will never forget.

Laura Thate

I'm sorry but the ad terrorizing you more than the show at this point is so funny because I'm also never expecting it

Michael

It wasn’t a suicide. Olivia wanted to live, she wanted to be with her kids. She was confused and manipulated.

Valaree

I remember being the most gagged in episode 9 when Abigail started choking on the poison. I was like yooo, wait she was never imaginary?!

Amanda Hill

OMG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!! MY DRUNK TRAIN RIDE HOME VIDEO YES YOUR TIMING

lex ✰

It's 10pm. I have 3 hours to spare!!! Time to buckle in!!

Moon Brooke

thank you for feeding my 6am portion of my all nighter 🙂‍↕️
