Usually their plans are so awful they both get in trouble and fail to get to do the thing they want to do, but this time, they are front row. :) Take That were HUGE in the 90s. And if you want to know more about them, there is a biopic of their most famous member Robbie Williams out now called 'Better Man' where he is played by a CGI monkey. Which seems inexplicable, but somehow works really well.

And "hole" is a word used in many Irish phrases instead of ass or arse. Like when Michelle says "We're gonna lie our holes off". Or two of my personal favs - "I will in me hole!" meaning no, i absolutely will not, and "Get off your hole!" meaning get up

2025-01-19 18:07:34 +0000 UTCthank you! <3 it was thankfully a false alarm, and I got it back today. Basically, I travelled to my hometown on a bus, and the driver changed somewhere along the route. The first one had put my suitcase in another storage space, not the ‘usual’ one, and — for whatever reason — the new driver didn’t look there and just told me ‘those were all the bags, someone must’ve taken yours🤷♂️’… nevertheless, I’d called the company’s customer service yesterday evening and today woke up to a call about the suitcase being found, and it ended up still containing all my stuff😮💨last night was, however, pretty tense for me, as I thought I’d lost everything, and this video was a nice distraction :,)

2025-01-18 16:37:38 +0000 UTCThe writer, Lisa McGee, said she initially wrote the show to take place in modern day times and wanted to avoid talking about the troubles at all. But the show’s producers managed to convince her to set the show in the 90s and include the troubles in the story, which is just aswell because I think having the backdrop of the troubles really helps to make the show special and stand out from other sitcoms.

He was a lovely man. Passed away in 2023. He was from the town I lived in. He was also Knighted. So I should have said Sir Michael Parkinson. Ok, I’m done rambling. 🤓
