2X1 coming in a couple of hours🙏🏾

Give me a rocket launcher, I know who to aim it at!

The end scene with that little smirk makes me want to fight him so badly. In a way, it feels triumphant and in another way, it feels like Hannibal can be mask off with Will. They both are looking into each other's eyes and Will can see him now opposed to their first meeting when Will says he avoids eye contact.

Akaash Sidhu

100% agree

Franklin

Yep that is a fucked up part. telling the truth and lying at the same time. Makes you second-guess everything. Glad you enjoyed this season it was so fun. Thanks for confirming that Hannibal was also psychic driving will

Franklin

Exactly! 💯

Laura Thate

Indeed. It's almost like season 1 was the Prelude,- the setup. Now let's dance

Franklin

lol literal bullshit man! I would say i'll fight him but I don't think I'm winning that fight

Franklin

For real. He let him have it

Jack doesn't spare a thought for Will given he sure knew he always pushed Will out of his limits. It makes me so angry

crazykuroneko

Frank gets home from vacation just to have to deal with Hannibal's bullshit again. "IS HE CRYING?!?" I lost it so hard.

The smirk on Hannibal space and wheels dead pan truthful stare into Hannibal’s eyes was the moment season two began for me. Each knowing the role they play, now the true game is a foot and the chest move will be even more precarious. Chefs kiss!

Laura Thate

i also play scarlet witch and mantis, lol! i started out with mantis and have been playing more as scarlet witch recently, she’s really fun!

Really enjoyed watching this season with you! Hannibal is such a tricky character. He loves lying and telling the truth at the same time ( I think that's partly why he constantly makes cannibal puns in front of the people trying to catch him). He does want to "help" his patients. Its just his morality is so different from everyone else's that, to him, helping means pushing and manipulating someone into giving into their darkest impulses. Unfortunately for Will, as soon as he killed Hobbes, he became Hannibal's new pet project. I'm super excited for season 2. It makes Hannibal's motivations and actions in season 1 make way more sense. Also, great catch about Chilton and Hannibal both psychic driving their patients. Hannibal even told Chilton that psychic driving backfires once the patient becomes aware of the manipulation.

Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you so so much for understanding my Jeff reference🤣 I swear that game has me in a Chokehold since release. And I don't even like Online shooters. Definitely. Jeff can easily change the tides of a match. Who do you usually play with? I love playing with Scarlet Witch and mantis.

Franklin

The extent of Hannibal’s betrayal of Will is finally revealed this episode. He’s so despicable, and Mads’s little micro-smirks throughout make me feel ill. Great acting, but yikes what an asshole.

Valaree

your reaction to this episode was so entertaining! i love watching you dissect these insane characters. also the marvel rivals comment was too real 😭 i swear i love a jeff on my team but on the opposite team i hate his guts

des williams

Brilliant commentary!

Melissa

Pure Force. I like that

Franklin

One of the best I've had. Thank you. Yes indeed, I just finished watching season 2 episode 1 and oh boy

Franklin

Really like all of this

Excellent summary! Could you link that video here? I'd like to watch it. Just put SPOILER emojis on it for anyone who may not want to do so.

Melissa

Hope you had a great vacation. S2 is even better, can't wait!

Hannibal as a modern villain is so interesting because of exactly what you're saying. He doesn't have any vigilante angle, he preys on whoever for his own reasons that I won't delve into cause they could be spoilery, but that doesn't exclude the vulnerable which makes him hard to like even for people like FoxTaco who, as you said usually enjoys villains. Hannibal is just kind of pure evil, living in his own world according to his own rules. He isn't doing this for anyone but himself. He can't even be classified as a psychopath. There's a veeery long video I recommend you watch after finishing the series by Macabre Storytelling on Youtube about the books, movies and the show, but there it's explained why the prequel book that was written about Hannibal (which Thomas Harris said he didn't want to write) before the events of the show and tSotL doesn't work because that's just not the type of villain Hannibal is. His evil can't be easily tied to one traumatic event. He's pure force.
