I love how you described holding your breath. Yes the stress was real True. I wish she had lived. And I also wish hans met a more diabolical fate. I think you would love him in Django Unchained

Franklin

1:44:35 this is my first time watching the movie and omg the tension between different characters throughout this movie is INSANE. like i'm literally holding my breath with most of the scenes bc i'm just on the edge of my seat. i love it. 😭 i'm disappointed with Shosanna's ending cause after Hans let her go the second time, i was hoping she would make it out alive (especially since he basically let her go TWICE in her life) so the fact that she ended up dying by the hands of Zoller's annoying ass ugh. 😭 i love that she still got her revenge successfully in the end though and i do love the symbolism of her face laughing in the projector while everyone was dying. but omg Hans was such an interesting character to watch and i don't think i've seen the actor in anything else but i'm a fan now after this bc i was so sucked in by how he portrayed his role. :') i do think this was a solid cast overall though, everyone played their parts really well imo.

Obviously you know your audience well, but Kill Bill enjoys such a wide viewership (and love) among a wide range of demographics, you might be surprised. It’s a QT fan and non-fan favorite. I concur that you should poll it. Also, by now you’ll have seen that QT is gonna give you more than simple “action.”

Rigo

Even if you just check it out for yourself. You could put it in a poll just to see . . . 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Melissa

I absolutely would, but I don’t think my audience scares much for action movies. I was very surprised this was one of the top picks in the last poll.

Franklin

I’m sure Quinton was like I gotta star this guy again and again. So good. Yea! That accent was bloody hilarious

Franklin

I’m glad it all worked out

Franklin

Good point

Franklin

Narrator, kind of sounded like him, but I wasn’t sure

Franklin

Tell me more👀

Surely did appreciate seeing this alternative reality to the end of the Nazi. And yes, that was a very beautiful detail with the projection on the smoke. And I like how you interpreted it.

Franklin

lol homeboy couldn’t resist. And the fact that he made it such an important part of the plot shows his commitment

Finally finished watching along with you. I loved it!

Melissa

Got so close to the end of the movie and my hopes of there being no weird Tarantino foot fetish scene were high, but that man just has to do it. xD

Shane

I adore this movie. Great “how [the German part of] WWII should have ended” alternate history. And I love how the theater owner’s face could be seen laughing in the smoke of the theater as it burned. It’s like she died in the projector room but her spirit lingered to drag everybody in that theater down to hell. As always, your reaction was fantastically perceptive, thank you for posting this!

samuel jackson was in this movie...kinda 🤪

I think Landa knew it was Shoshanna the whole time. He was just having fun toying with her. He’s a psychopath, he never had any loyalty or idealistic attachment to Germany. When he figured out the bomb plot he switched his focus from Shoshanna to defecting to America. If the Basterds hadn’t been at the premiere, I think Landa would have stayed focused on her and ruined her plot to burn down the theater.

Oh, thank goodness for you! I forgot to take my medication until too late and now I'll be up for hours past when I should be sleeping. This will make that wait easier. 🙂

This is one of my top five QT films and it made me obsessed with Christoph Waltz (cuz this came before Django). This is also one of the few movies I love Brad Pitt in…I wish he had that accent all the time, it’s too funny (I’m native to TN so it’s even funnier). The moment you were laughing at when they pretend to be Italian is the best part of the entire movie to me.

Amanda Hill

You definitely need to watch "Kill Bill" -- Volumes 1 & 2!

Melissa

Excited to watch this. It's one of QT movies that I've never seen, but it's always been on my to-watch list.
