Thank you, Frank! That's amazing news. Can't overstate enough how great that show is. One other question, if that's okay? Have you seen The Last of Us? Because, it's so incredible -- and so much fodder for your thoughtful commentary. But also, thinking about the possible impact on your channel, I was just reading that The Last of Us season 2 has just given a spring 2025 release date. (eeek! So excited!!) But the point is, I expect at some point in the next couple months, HBO will start advertising the new season. No doubt the ads will look AMAZING and bring a lot of attention back to this series. I can only imagine, if you timed it right, a fresh reaction to Season 1 right as people are drooling for season 2 would be very welcome. There hasn't been any good new reactions to season 1 in a while. If you haven't seen it....maaaannn...people would LOVE your reactions! 😍

However, I didn’t start watching it because I decided to continue the wire at the time. And when I was done with the previous lighthearted show, I had to replace it with something similar, so true detective wasn’t picked. It’s weird. To be honest I’m still figuring this out as I go. The problem is, three shows is the max I can watch at a time. I’m still trying to figure out a way that I can watch shows quicker and start new ones. But yes, it’s still very much on my list.

2024-12-09 10:52:59 +0000 UTCOops, forgot to say, I think my best concert was Loreena Mckennitt at Ravinia. Largely because the beautiful forest setting of Ravinia was so perfect for her haunting harp music and Celtic songs. It felt like magic.

I’ve been to so many amazing concerts that it’s hard to name one — seeing Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour in ATL last summer was a bucket list experience that did not disappoint. Also going to the One Musicfest in ATL several years back — Big Boi was the headliner but he brought out Andre 3000. Seeing Outkast reunite, can’t beat that. I’d round it out as a top 3, seeing Kendrick, Schoolboy Q and SZA in Philly in 2018 was peak. I’m elated to have woken up today to him and SZA announcing a new tour together!

Method Man came into the crowd and looked right down at me with a look that only said "you've gotta be kidding me, we're letting babies in here now?". But, my favorite concert was the first time I saw Radiohead back in 2003. There's nothing like watching your favorite band or artist when you're 16. Perfect age to soak it in.

It was the same day the With Teeth album dropped and I remember playing it over and over trying to memorize lyrics on the drive there. No seating, and the whole crowd was super energetic and celebratory. Nothing like screaming “fist fuck” in unison with 3000 other fans! Afterwards we went to a nearby bar and several members of the touring band were there, I got my CD case signed. No Trent, he had given up drinking by then.

It wasn’t just Freddie’s voice, stage presence and the entire band’s ability to make and perform great music. It was the entirety of the energy and synchronicity of the crowd as we enjoyed every moment almost as one being.
