I'm with you on Hannibal. Seeing him toy with Will is frustrating. But on the other side, he has been such a good confidant to him and (I think) possibly the only person Will can openly discuss the cases with and his theories on them without fear of looking too insane. I love their little back and forths to try and solve the mystery every episode even when Hannibal does try to meddle with the investigation sometimes 😭🤣 The orange cat is super adorable! Reminds me of my kitten. (Sorry if my English is bad!) ❤️❤️

He's clearly intelligent and unique in ways most humans aren't, but when you add in his sociopathy, you have a dangerous combination. To him, it seems he rarely finds those people he actually finds interesting -- or worthy -- of his time and attention beyond just becoming meat. It's those people he plays with because they do actually fascinate him. I think we mistake this fascination for his caring for them -- and maybe he does, too. I believe he'd kill someone who fascinates him just like he kills others once they either become mundane to him -- and most certainly once they may be on to the real him.

2024-11-23 07:17:02 +0000 UTCThe point you brought up about Hannibal possibly his sense of smell to enjoy his food more I think is really interesting and I feel like I have heard that theory from other fans as well. What interests me as well in that regard is that because he can smell that Will has encephalitis, it means he can always smell something wrong with his victims in terms of their health, avoiding the situation Hobbs had in Ep 1 with the girl with liver cancer. Morbidly, he knows he always has good meat. 🫣

Prepping will not for Destruction but as a means to live those emotions vicariously God damn that's good and freaking evil. You're so right this one has been very challenging but at the same time it's so rewarding. The amount of things I'm learning from it. And watching that chess game unfold as well. Can't wait to share the next episode with you.

Like the viewer knows what Hannibal did, but Will doesn't so it just hurts more because Will trusts Hannibal, but he can't see his true face smh

Hannibal remarks how this great rare pig may not really be all that great in comparison to others, that it has no real substance. He's basically saying he thinks Suttecliffe thinks too highly of himself and is just a normal pig/human and so nothing special to Hannibal. Suttecliffe equates the rare pig to Will while Hannibal equates the pig to Suttecliffe lol

2024-11-23 02:16:35 +0000 UTCHannibal is a sociopath. He is not capable of what we as balanced beings are capable of, such as empathy, deep, love, compassion. I find it much easier for me to stay focused on the twist and turns of this chess game between William, Jack and Hannibal being played out. There is a certain part of Hannibal that in a perverse and very detached way does care about the rarity and duty of innocence, but it is not the overwriting function of his true nature. Keeping that in mind, Hannibal has an endgame already created end being executed episode by episode. The chess game is being controlled by Hannibal as he is not only the chess pieces, chessboard, but a grandmaster at chess, but I do believe that in the last four episodes he has slipped up and he finds himself revealing more and more, especially Jack somewhere within that dynamic I see Will as not something or someone that Hannibal is striving to destroy, but is striving to possess and vicariously live through those emotions I listed that he cannot feel or understand. Just a thought. This has been one heck of a series and very challenging. I do so enjoy watching it with you Franklin. I love your humanity and that you have no fear of expressing yourself through this journey. I’m so very glad I found your channel. It led me to a very fine young man and his beautiful cats. Until we get to experience each other again many blessings to you, to those you love and who love you in return.

The way you’ve become invested in the characters and the way you pick it all apart and really feel it through is super enjoyable. I’m sorry this episode was harrowing. Great to hear your thoughts about it all. Hannibal is so interesting because I think he knows what he’s doing to Will is horrible, and yet he still truly sees Will as his friend. Just this inherent evil in him imo. Really really extraordinary.
