Yes I also read some of the comments on YouTube on season two episodes that season 3 wasn't so good but in my opinion season 3 is awesome, I loved it so much.

We easily figured out the Green Matchbook and the Shite in Ninining Armour. The upside and wet .. that was pretty clear. But the thunder and lightning, there were a couple references. Roy telling her someone should make her “feel like you’ve been struck by lightning”. So after the upside down fall into the canal, she met a man who made her feel like that. But .. they just went their separate ways. Why? She wasn’t ready for it. Remember back when Keely was at the pub speaking with Mae about her “Midas Shits”, after losing her PR firm? Mae: “Once you reach the top of the mountain, what’s left for you but lightning.” Keely: “Is the lightning a good thing or a bad thing?” Mae: “That depends if you’re ready for it or not.” Rebecca had grown a lot. She no longer cared about Rupert or his life, or even beating “him” just to beat him. She was confident. She was ready. And there he was at the airport. She was ready for her lightning. ⚡️♥️

Another callback to them talking about Julie Andrew’s and Roy’s favorite character of hers being Maria from the Sound of Music. So perfect. You are so right. Ted has affected every single person in this show, in some positive way. Either directly or indirectly. Everyone is better off in some way, (even us the audience!).. other than Rupert. But, I do have to say .. Anthony Head doesn’t get far enough credit for playing Rupert. He was perfect in every scene. Especially the scene where he told Rebecca that Bex was having a baby. That whole scene is an acting masterclass from both actors. I fully believe that Sassy is a magical manifestation of Rebecca’s inner voice. Rebecca, cordial and friendly to Rupert, never showing her true feelings. Then Sassy … kicks him in the bollocks. It’s beautiful 😂♥️ The Ted and Rebecca goodbye scene at the airport, Hannah once said in an interview that she didn’t have to act in that scene. Those were genuine tears and she had to hold back from full on crying. 😭 I love her. And Coaches name .. was mentioned once before. I can’t remember the exact scene, but he said to him once “What you talking about, Willis?” Which EVERYONE took to be a joke from a very old sitcom from the 80s. And yes, a lot of arcs come full circle .. but they also left the door open. I mean, Beard has a baby coming. AFC Richmond Women’s Team, Team now has more money, can buy more players. I think there is enough to build on of #4 does happen.

2024-09-24 21:21:06 +0000 UTCAs far as season three being unpopular, I don’t get it either I look at the IMDb score per episode. Those are usually pretty close to what I’d give them. Although, many didn’t like Beard After-hours. And that’s one of my favorites.
