Just a reminder to avoid spoilers in the comments of this post as I have not seen everything on it.. yet :)

Please also note that I typically watch and record during the day, so the videos will be posted later in the evening. The schedule might be a little off for some of you just because of time zones.

What is your favorite place you’ve traveled to?

When I was around 12 years old my family and I went on vacation to England. Many firsts for me. First time staying at a motel, my first time experiencing the cold, my first time having to dress up in so many cold weather outfits, heavy sweaters, and all that. My first time encountering a whole different culture (well, far different from other cultures in Nigeria) My first time getting on a ferry🚢. We got on a ferry to Dublin to see my mom's friend and her family. Core childhood memory for me. I'd love to hear your favorite place you've traveled to.

See you in a video very soon and thank you all for your support <3

England is, in my opinion, a little bit magical. From almost any town, you can drive about 15 minutes and find a castle, mostly in some form of ruin, most but not all. It is amazing to stand inside a building built almost 1000 years ago. I was married in a church built in 12th century BC. Maybe I only think it’s magical because we have NOTHING in the States that can compare. It’s very moving to sit in a pew and think about the people who must have been in the church over the last almost 1,000 years. I would move back in a heartbeat if I could. But I want to be here for my parents. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_of_St_John_the_Baptist,_Royston,_South_Yorkshire#/media/File%3AStJohnsRoyston.jpg

The way you explained that literally made me feel like I was there as well. I'm glad that your.... detour lol was very fun and safe. I can only imagine that experience. In Nigeria, we have some restaurants where people do this thing called "point and kill". There's a pond with tons of fish inside, you point the fish you want and they catch it and prepare it for you and you enjoy the delicious food. I thought about that immediately after you mentioned the goat haha

Franklin

That sounds beautiful. I don't even know what Arizona is like. Not growing up in the US all these places to me are just names of states. But I've definitely seen pictures of the Grand Canyon. Things like that are just so Grand and overwhelming but also in a positive way. You get to feel this beautiful world and be in its presence Yes yes yes Interview with the Vampire has been such a gift. We're almost done w season 1 :)

Franklin

Every time you mention living over a decade in England I get a bit jealous hehe I'm happy it was a beautiful experience for you. Having public transport viewed as a normal part of everyday life instead of something for the less privileged is just a beautiful thing to me. One day I'm going to attend a football match and feel what you feel. I imagine just the atmosphere and the sound of the crowd is so energetic. It's like the ultimate concert

Franklin

I love that for you. That is absolutely on my bucket list. Glad you could go see the country as well. That's clutch. And that safe feeling you talked about. Trust me I know exactly what you mean. I currently live in the US but anytime I travel back to Nigeria, the amount of safety I feel is ridiculous. I'm not worried about the cops 24/7, I don't get weird looks in public, it just feels safe. That anxiety is at an all-time low

Franklin

Heck yeah. It's one hell of a show. Hope you enjoy

Franklin

Yay for family time🤗 I'm sure they'll remember that forever

Franklin

I feel you. Being around family you enjoy is one of the greatest blessings you can have. Oh boy those last two iwtv episodes were wild buckle up for the reactions. I got very tense a few times lol You are not joking at all. The fan base is so passionate and we all know that can go both ways haha. I hope you enjoy the wire💜💜😁

Franklin

I swear that sounds like an actual dream. Moving to Europe is always tempting, it's beautiful, and have some of the happiest places to live in. Based on life satisfaction surveys. I've only seen videos but you stand in there seeing the waterfalls and the cows LOL so rad And yes you already know I'm starting iwtv season 2 immediately I finish season 1 haha

Franklin

damn that was powerful. I love how something that wasn't your first or maybe second choice gave you so much peace and happiness in the end. The way the city welcomed you when you came. It was something you probably didn't even know you needed. I love life💜

Franklin

💜😁

Ppl who hav watch in order know the difference. Watching backwards takes away from the experience of initial assessment and reminiscing...something ppl w a certain level of intelligence appreciate & hes definitely one of those ppl. Its tantamount to watching HOTD b4 GOT🤣🤦🏾‍♀️

Black Valyria

I think watching all of the show, both seasons, before the movie. The show is so much better, in my opinion.

Glad you had a great time with your nieces! Quality time is the best time. My favorite place is probably Jamaica! I 20 and it was the first time I'd ever left the country. It was a little scary because we did things tourists probably should NOT have done (Left the cruise port completely, with 2 toddlers, went deep into the city, and caught a bus and walked a ways to a tucked away beach that wasn't on any of the maps provided lol), but it was wonderful! I had my first technically legal drinks there, had fantastic curry goat (watched them butcher the goat and that was...an experience), met the sweetest and most welcoming and helpful locals, and swam in the nicest waters I've ever swam in.

He definitely should have watched the movie 1st. Idk how or y ths order happened😄 Spoilers dont apply bc either way hes going to know what happens in the movie frm the show or vise versa lol. Best case is watchn the movie to savor the in depth detail the show gives. The movie is just an outline.

So far, my favorite place is northern Arizona. So many beautiful areas where you can just breath and take in the awesome power of the gods. My favorite places there are Sedona and (of course) the Grand Canyon. Don't ever let anyone tell you it's nothing but a hole in the ground! I am loving your coverage of Interview With The Vampire and I'm so excited for you to get caught up. It. Is. Insane! <3

For me, I would say England. I lived there for 11 years. Such different live. I loved (almost) every second of it. I didn’t need a car! I could go anywhere by train, bus or taxi. The people were lovely. We lived in South Yorkshire. That’s where u got my love of football ⚽️ not 🏈. I just wish any of my friends liked it. I think once you watch a great match, you can’t not love it. ♥️

Christina H

I’m doing the same!! 😊

Christina H

He maybe should have watched the movie first .. cuz I don’t think Tom does justice to Lestât like Sam Reid does. I think I’d finish season two first now, then watch the film. I’ve not watched the show, I’m watching it first time as Frank posts them. I’m not sure where this is headed and I don’t want season two spoiled

Christina H

No worries u still have the Interview with a Vampire movie to watch. Hopefully watchn it in reverse doesn't ruin the movie experience for ya

Black Valyria

I am a Black American and I was able to travel to Japan for three weeks. I absolutely adored my time there. I stayed in Tokyo and was also able to stay in the country with friends. Despite being an obvious foreigner, though I do speak Japanese, it was the safest 3 weeks of my life. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to explain it succinctly. It was just a beautiful experience for me.

Watching interview with a vampire for first time with you!! Holding off until Monday 🙏

Rae McCormack

I took my niece and nephew to a 2 week tour of Great Britain. Had a great time. Ireland is magical, definitely worth visiting.

Mary E Crum

I spent a ton of time with my nephews/niece when they (and I) were younger. I miss it deeply & I'm so happy you got to be with your family. I'm excited to watch your reaction to the next IwtV episode! Happy so many rabid fans have joined your Patreon -- we're a thirsty group. 😉 I'm going to check out The Wire content now -- it's one of my favorite shows of all time. Be well!

Melissa

Happy you had a fun time this weekend! :) This week's schedule looks like a blast~ It's wild that we're already coming up on the IWTV season 1 finale but season 2 is waiting in the wings and I'm soooo ready. I've always wanted to visit Dublin! I have a hard time picking favorites but a travel destination that's really up on my list is the entire Bernese Highlands region in Switzerland. Lauterbrunnen and the surrounding area is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen (and maybe will ever see?). It straight up looks like Lord of the Rings or some AI-generated fantasy land. And there are waterfalls everywhere! I went in the late summer so it was still very green and we got to explore nature and see all the Swiss cows chilling and living their best lives.

Looks like you had a great weekends. Worth the wait!! I have had trips that impacted me massively for different reasons but I’ll write about the most life changing one. My first trip to Vienna (where I now live) was sooo intense. I had a one way ticket and was coming here on an exchange year. I was 21, heartbroken cause I had just been broken up with by someone who didn’t even want to try long distance and I was heartbroken (and full of doubts) cause Vienna wasn’t my first choice and it hurt to be rejected by the first. I had known the uni and teachers in my first choice but I knew nothing about this one in Vienna. And I kid you not, on the taxi from the airport to my little hostel, I saw a bit of the city center and I fell in love with it and cried. I ended up extending my exchange semester to a year, being heartbroken again when I had to leave cause I managed to get into the masters degree in my first option (Zurich), lived in Zurich for 7 years and ended up having to come back here and make my life here, cause that’s where I felt at home. It’s been 4 years and I’m very happy.

So excited for this week!
