2024-07-12 23:32:42 +0000 UTCI'm his hype man for life!!! Rebecca deserves all that and a bag of chips. You're right. No one said they can't have fun haha very curious to see where it goes Thanks for the heads up. The Christmas episode was so beautiful but Lord knows it was jarring at the beginning. I thought I skipped a few episodes or something

2024-07-08 22:01:02 +0000 UTCI definitely see why you were waiting on this one fam! My goodness. I'm not gonna lie to you. It's my favorite one so far. A close second is the episode in which Rebecca tells Ted her Secret of wanting to destroy the team. And it just makes me excited cuz I still have one full season and have to watch, so there's a very high possibility I might find a new favorite Facts man. The fact that Jamie could make us feel all those emotions, Roy being there. beautiful arc indeed. I look forward to seeing how Dr Sharon and Ted handle things going forward. And yes bro the breadcrumbs. Rewatching the show after I'm done will be so so good with hindsight. Like you said. Her being his boss complicates things but I can't wait to see what the show does with that narrative. I'm excited just thinking about it. Thanks bro, it's always good to connect with others on things we enjoy

2024-07-08 21:58:22 +0000 UTCI'm happy it lived up to expectations Kim. And yes that scene was just beautiful. On an average show, Just One of these moments would be enough to consider the episode great. but leave it to the Ted Lasso writers to stack three different great moments on top of each other. It's freaking brilliant. Thank you thank you. Callbacks and payoffs are the biggest Rewards when watching something for me and yes ted lasso does it amazingly and effortlessly ahh good to know. Because the last time that happened I was so confused thinking I skipped an episode or something lol

2024-07-08 21:50:30 +0000 UTCSo many layers indeed. Especially his nurture inside that we've always seen from his niece. But him comforting Jamie was a different level. SAM SAM SAM!!!! OH SAM!!
Franklin
2024-07-08 21:45:43 +0000 UTCAbsolutely agree. That is literally the best part!! It was a Roy. Watching Jamie cry and just be comforted was heartbreaking

2024-07-08 21:44:28 +0000 UTCYou go gurl, I love that for you. Relationships like that are so good. There's communication, there's agency, and most importantly theres fun and expectations are understood by both sides

2024-07-08 21:43:10 +0000 UTCI celebrate you for your recovery and your strength to even start that Journey🧡 cuz Lord knows shit ain't easy. It's so good and empowering to hear that you took matters into your own hands and recovered your joi de vivre (I had to look that up on Google and I freaking love it)

2024-07-08 21:40:48 +0000 UTCI love how you described the world of Ted Lasso and you are very right. and from experience, I can definitely tell you that it is a worldview/space that you can nurture IRL. Ever since I left college I have tried to cultivate my circle, the people I'm around, and places I engage with to give me the most peace of mind. That includes staying away from people who are bigots (including family), being around people and places that appreciate me, how I look and where I'm from, etc etc And it has been awesome, but the reality is, every now and then I have to get out of that bubble/save space and interact with some nasty folks. But it is what it is. It's very minimal

2024-07-08 21:38:27 +0000 UTCWHEN you watch with your wife, you’ll witness her reactions, and be able to interact with her, LIVE! ❤️ I’m so jealous! When I watch your videos, I find myself replying to your comments in the moment, out loud, and with spoilers!!! 😂

2024-07-08 13:23:24 +0000 UTCI think everyone has already commented on how amazing & heart wrenching this peak episode is. So, I'll just say that I love how much of a Sam hype man you are lmao He is such a sweetheart, and Rebecca definitely deserves someone who worships & respects her. I personally think they have a few too many real world obstacles - but hey, no one said they can't have fun. So we will see. Non-spoilery head's up: Apple TV wanted the season to have 12 episodes, so the next ep is one of 2 filler episodes, the other being the Christmas one. Not that it isn't enjoyable, but it definitely stands out.

2024-07-08 10:55:11 +0000 UTCMy brother...this is the episode I was waiting for you to get to. It's possibly my favorite episode of the entire series (although there are several others that give it a run for its money). I'm right there with you--Ted Lasso is one of those rare shows that makes you feel things so deeply. It's masterful. I bawl every single time I watch the scene with Jamie and his dad, and the way Roy hugged Jamie afterward. It was a perfect, albeit heartbreaking, way to cap off Jamie's redemption arc through season two. And Ted's revelation to Dr. Sharon is even more heartbreaking, and realizing, as a viewer, that the writers laid breadcrumbs for this reveal way back in season one gives me an even deeper appreciation for the writers of this brilliant show. And of course, the Sam and Rebecca storyline is fascinating, because as you said, Rebecca deserves a good man, and if there's one thing this show has shown us about Sam, it's that he's the biggest sweetheart on the team. But, of course, there's the issue of Rebecca being his boss, which complicates things. I love when a show can juggle several balls in the air at once and follow through with every single one of them. A master class in storytelling. I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

2024-07-08 08:49:14 +0000 UTCYep, we sure were! I've been hanging on your reaction to this episode and it didn't disappoint. That locker room scene, up there with the best of the whole series, and then Ted straight after it. I love how well you remember callbacks and buildups and understand the tapestry of this brilliant show. I haven't read all the comments so not sure if people have mentioned the next episode is one of the bonus eps they made when Apple asked for more (the Christmas episode being the other one). Not saying more for spoiler reasons, but it may help to know that going in.

2024-07-08 08:13:50 +0000 UTCI love all the layers of Roy. Think about from episode 1 till now. Then ... SAM! WHAT?

2024-07-08 00:43:41 +0000 UTCJamie has come so far since we met him in the very first episode. And who would've thought that Roy, of all people, would be the one to comfort him.

2024-07-08 00:30:59 +0000 UTCAs to the Rebecca/Sam dynamic, I recently dated a gentleman who is 40 years younger than me. Yep, 40, not a typo! 😊 I thought I had to be totally misreading the signals, until he made his move. We both knew there wasn’t the possibility of it being long term, we just really enjoyed each other’s company. It was the most fun, no strings, drama-free relationship I’ve ever had. ❤️

2024-07-07 22:14:33 +0000 UTCI am recovering from PTSD I developed when I was 4-5 years old. My mother allowed the situation to occur. I spent a significant portion of my life being angry at her and the anger almost killed me. I finally let go of the anger, and also of my expectation that she would finally be the mom I needed her to be. I set down an excruciatingly heavy burden and recovered my joie de vivre. I didn’t ‘forgive’ her, I let go of my need for her to be someone she couldn’t be. Because of that, I was able to reframe our relationship and it is now wonderful!!

2024-07-07 22:02:02 +0000 UTCSo many characters with fully developed story arcs! And the brilliant writing has me caring deeply for each and every one of them (and hating the designated devil)! I love how it’s a world of mutual respect, and one that respects women. The strong friendships between the female characters, occasional episodes challenging gender roles, and , in case you haven’t noticed, the nudity is exclusively male. 😋 It’s a world I would love to inhabit. Maybe it’s a world view I can nurture IRL…

2024-07-07 21:41:33 +0000 UTCOh! (I swear I’m not crazy. Much.) If you and your wife watch together once you’ve finished all your reactions, 1. It will still be just as good if not better the second time and b. You’ll then be watching HER reaction. Love that.
