Dear Francisca (fellow Frank name🤗), thank you for acknowledging the struggles we go through. Sending hugs and motivation your way. Yes, we love it and it should be fun. And thank you for the extra support on YouTube! Watching Ted Lasso has brought me so many blessings and so many loving interactions with the viewers of my videos. Thanks for being kick-ass. It's crazy how many of the rom-com references went over my head because I did not know of them haha now watching my reaction in hindsight is freaking hilarious. But yes I was feeling The Vibes. And yes every single thing you told me about Hannah significantly improved my enjoyment and love for her character as well as the woman she is in real life. Shout out to you. See you in the next video😁

2024-06-29 01:36:39 +0000 UTCDear Frank, thank you so much for this reaction. As a freelance musician, i totally get the stress of working on something and not seeing the results you deserve and getting frustrated or demotivated. It was beautiful seeing you get motivation from here and remembering you do it cause you love it and should have fun!! I constantly have to remind myself too!! thanks for opening up and I promise, when this comes out on youtube, i'll go there too to comment 🥰 to get that algorithm going!! About the episode, the whole episode is following rom-coms tropes! They talk about it in the beginning (Ted to the players) and then do the whole episode like it. It was funny that you didn't notice but still felt it when in the end Roy was trying to reach the stadium in a rom-com style (giving all his money to the taxi driver, his watch to the other guy, etc). It was on purpose!!! And I love it that they wrap it up with the "Rainbow" song in the end that gives the episode its tittle and that is the Higgins' song. Thank you again for a great reaction, keep it up and have fun with it. Also thank you reading the comments and having mentioned a couple times what I wrote you on a comment in an earlier video about Hannah Waddingham's life and journey with this role :))

2024-06-27 15:38:05 +0000 UTCI'm glad I'm not the only one and that this episode is a source of inspiration to others. ahhh I see. Thanks for explaining all the rom-com references. Yeah, that flew over my head lol. I just thought it was the regular Ted Lasso fun banter. I love that this show has so many Easter eggs for American cultured folk. It's almost like to show is winking at you every other episode

2024-06-27 15:37:02 +0000 UTCI have binged Ted Lasso, the entire series, AT LEAST six times now; with my mom (she’s 85 and we stayed up until 4am to finish season three!), with my bestie who lives 400 miles away (I screen-shared it over Zoom, don’t know if that’s legal 🤫), with my cats (they missed most of the movie references, 😝), and now I get to watch it with you!!!! I f-(insert Roy here)-ing LOVE this show. It’s like sharing Christmas morning with a soul that, in its innocence, still believes in Santa and is wide eyed with anticipation. I smile so much my face gets sore! You have a gentleness about you and a willingness to believe in the good in people (except Voldemort…uh…Rupert) that makes me very happy! There’s just one issue… …I found your channel TOO SOON to be able to binge the series with you! There is so much joy…and heartache …and JOY to come. And belly laughs!!!! No spoilers - my favorite episode is Season 3’s ‘Sunflowers’. Can’t wait for you to unwrap that gift!

2024-06-27 02:31:21 +0000 UTC…American owls say “Who Who” 🙃 Embarrassingly few Americans understand when to use ‘whom’ instead of ‘who’ 😱

2024-06-27 01:37:37 +0000 UTCA British owl says “Whom, whom.” Brits tend to use whom more than we do.

2024-06-26 23:04:42 +0000 UTCI came to comment what Elizabeth commented above but it looks like she got all the romcom references 😂 this was a blast. Loved your reaction!

2024-06-26 17:16:13 +0000 UTCYou should check out shrinking after you finish ted lasso. A show with a very similar spirit and equally, if not more funny.

2024-06-26 14:16:00 +0000 UTCI loved the fact that you felt so inspired and loved this episode so much - its one of my favorite episodes in the whole series for sure and I come back to watch it when I need a pickup too! On your video at 4:38 - Ted says "I believe in Rom-Communism" he is referring to Romantic Comedies - I don't know if you just misheard him, but you didn't pick up on it until about 38:32 when Roy is running and you commented that it was like one of those Romantic movies. The whole episode is filled with Romantic Comedy references that - of course if you haven't seen the movies they are relating to you might not understand. “I came here tonight...” - When Harry Met Sally (also where the couple at the game is talking directly to the camera is a reference from that movie - and when Ted says "I'll have what he's having..." at the kebab shop) “I’m also just a coach, standing in front of a boy” - Notting Hill “As you wish” - the Princess Bride “You had me at Coach,” Jerry Maguire There's prob others and I get 100% that these are all older rom coms from the US so you may not have seen them - but so much of this show is throwbacks to weird American TV and movies from 20-30+ years ago.
