2024-04-24 15:15:00 +0000 UTCMy slightly elevated (🌿) answer is, the whole movie feels almost like biblical allegory. We've got mankind (Brolin) going thru the struggles of life and by chance walks into a situation he knows to be dangerous. But everything that makes him human is what goes toward the risk. We've also got a man on his redemption arc (Jones) and most of us root for this character because most of us desire forgiveness, and contrition can ascend us into more heavenly realms. Lastly, we have this malicious almost entity of a person (chaos or maybe evil?) wreaking havoc (Bardem). With all the collateral damage surrounding, Humanity sees the chaos and wants answers. But we're always left wanting because chaos is unanswerable. This could also just be 15 years of Sunday school hammered into me 🤷🏽♀️

2024-04-22 18:32:00 +0000 UTCSuch a great job Indeed. Yes sincrio is on my list. I bet that one is going to be so good too. I didn't realize the movie didn't have a score until someone told me after the movie. Yes. The silence is just as tense. If you don't mind me asking what was your takeaway from the end of the movie?

2024-04-22 15:09:18 +0000 UTCYes!!! The one and only mf GOAT of cinematography... Roger Deakins! Every single frame is a work of art in his films (watch Sicario! More Josh Brolin) I think I was like 21 when this movie came out, it blew me away. No SCORE!? Who does that? Haha The Coen bros, that's who! The silence is just as tense as a great score. All their movies are incredibly dark humored (see Fargo! ALSO a Roger Deakins) This movie comes from a Cormac McCarthy novel, he writes about the American west often, and in brutal ways. I think most people thought the ending wasn't really one, but that's what makes it stay with you! You're left with only your imagination.

2024-04-21 15:51:37 +0000 UTCMy biggest take away was how people always romanticize the good old days but the people that lived back in those good old days felt the same way that you do today. That things change and people have always feared what's coming. But it's coming anyway.

2024-04-18 21:32:03 +0000 UTCGracias my friend. Same man. The movie left me wondering what it all meant. That's why I chose to stick with the message of "walking away from the life" kind of like the sheriff did at the end. I know yeah I'm going to watch both of these videos. I love love consuming content about movies I love

2024-04-18 21:31:23 +0000 UTCGreat reaction! You catch so much on your first viewing. I've seen this movie so many times and i'm always left wondering what it all meant. I've read so many opinions about what this movie means that I don't even remember what I originally thought because I'm always swayed by someone else's interpretation. This video is one that explores much of it. I don't agree with all of it but it does a pretty good job pointing out a few things. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKyp9rGzZ20&t=3s After you watch that one.... you have to see this. This is an "unauthorized" behind the scenes look at what it is like to work for the Coen Brothers. This was made by Josh Brolin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGh4AD6BT24 If you only watch one of these... watch the second one. lol.
