2024-04-11 15:19:19 +0000 UTCIt might be quite the adventure to see some of the movies that Tom Hanks started with before he went serious. No one thought he would be a generational talent, but looking back, you can see the talent. I highly recommend watching Big, The Burbs, Dragnet, and Money Pit. I think A League of Their Own was the bridge between the Oscar-worthy Tom Hanks we know today and the comedian actor of my childhood. Some may argue that it was Saving Private Ryan that finally did it, but you can see shades of the non-comedian in A League of Their Own.

I can't imagine how he must have felt losing Kelly in such a unique way....I'm not sure what I would've done in his situation, to be honest I don't think I would've even made it off the island let alone make it home....such a great story of love, survival and sorrow.
