Added 2025-07-29 00:46:52 +0000 UTCThis one was weird to work on. I initially wanted to have like vines and stuff all around the school. Alice in her story spends a lot of time in the woods, I sort of wanted the school to be like that??? However that made it look more like the ruins of a school. I think what will be viable is having flora, fauna, and fungi dotted around areas. Along with the green house for where she talks with flowers.
The building itself is based on where I went to elementary school. I can remember the lay out pretty well. If you watch the recording you can see me starting to draw a isometric view of it. But I think any map layouts would be really cool for "chapter ends here" art. Showing where different things are and foreshadowing indirectly areas.
The dialog here is based mostly around what I would be doing in this situation. Working out what's different. While this won't be as heavy as Soft Reset is, going into my actual past and the like. Luna is still a self insert, and everyone in the system was pretty sure our reaction would be more curious. At least until a authority would step in. :)
There are also some stylistic things here that are different. We wanted to take some inspiration from Tatsuya Yoshikawa! As we really love the breath of fire art style for its promo art. While Soft Reset has been trying to emulate Akihiko Yoshida and Yuji Uekawa in a buncha different ways. ^^;
