A little update and venting
Added 2024-08-15 15:47:32 +0000 UTCHello everyone ! , so i'm not sure if you guys have been recently aware of the changes nexus has made to their site , modders will be actively punished for releasing mods for the same game based on their new rule "The system has a diminishing returns aspect to it. After a certain number of interactions from the same user across all your mods, the
value of these interactions drops drastically. It can and does drop to
0." Based on this my mods will not be generating any rewards or donation points since the BG3 community and you lovely supporters will have most likely downloaded most of my previous mods before , so this is more of a post for the new people who have told me to post my stuff to nexus instead of patreon , in here i can actually see who supports me directly and engage with you all , and actively try to make stuff for you guys and get your feedback , instead of posting my stuff on nexus and reaping no reward for any of the hard work i put into the mods i create , with that being said i hope you all understand now why i'm putting my patreon first and why most of the stuff i make here will never be on nexus , also a big thank you to everyone who has donated to me and subscribed <3 i will make another post in a bit regarding my life situation

You could release 2.0 versions of your popular mods for use with patch 7

2024-08-17 09:27:09 +0000 UTCIt sucks because it's going to hurt other modders as well and will eventually bite Nexus in the ass when all the good modders who release content on a consistent basis leave and take their community with them. I like Nexus because it's a 'one stop shop' to find modders and their work, but I follow them to Patreon when I find myself using most of their mods. Nexus will become a transitory space where artists create buzz and find an audience before leaving to other platforms. And this change is why? So they don't give away 'too many' free premium accounts to modders? Well, since that drives their whole business model, maybe all content creators should get free premium without a constantly changing set of arbitrary rules meant only to limit what they have to 'give away' in order to make money off the content they don't create. Google mentality.
