As a teenager, the gym was where my senses really came alive for the first time. The smell of sweat, the air thick with body heat tumbling with steam coming from the showers. The clanging of metal lockers and weights, the sharp sounds of water against bodies then hitting the concrete floor. The opposing textures of soft white towels and socks against the steel and cinder block walls. Can you tell it made an impression on me?
