I grew up in an oilfield community surrounded by big trucks and the men who drove them. It's a masculine lifestyle that has a gritty sex appeal to it. We called guys like this a 'dirty fuck' because of their raw nature.

I met Carlo through another photographer. He is more of a romantic creative guy but I sensed he could pull this off. So I pitched the idea to him and he was all in. Carlo also grew up in a similar area so he knew this type really well, and had most of the clothes for it. I found the rough flannel shirt at a thrift shop.

After the shoot, I grabbed us some Whataburger and finished off the six pack of Budweiser in the motel room. He later went home to his wife with this look and they had fun with it.
