Audio volume issues
Added 2022-05-02 13:30:37 +0000 UTCHi guys! Some of you have let me know my audios are super quiet, trust me, Iβve been trying to solve this for months! π₯²
I am using a Neumann tlm 107. Itβs a quiet and sensitive mic. If I turn the gain up too much, it picks up *everything.* Cars, birds, my breathing and tummy growls, etc. It then becomes an editing nightmare. To record around these obstacles can add hours to my work time. I would have to use heavier noise reductions that make my voice sound strange and redo some takes all together.
I record in a loft with really high walls. I do not have a proper space to do this kind of work. I canβt soundproof the place or anything so Iβm kinda just stuck with what Iβve got.
I will see what I can do for next time because this issue has been frustrating the fuck out of me π₯² I just wanted to let you guys know Iβm aware of the problem and seeking solutions.
Thatβs all for now, Iβve got a surprise for you guys later! π

Fair enough. Maybe just put a big piece of foam in front of your window when you record, lol. That's my last possible idea.

2022-05-02 15:05:04 +0000 UTCThe real issue is the noise outside, treating the walls in this particular room isnβt going to change anything unfortunately.

2022-05-02 14:54:52 +0000 UTCI think they sell soundproof barriers that you can put around the mic. These aren't ones that you would put on the wall either. I can link it here if you want or on discord.
