One of my favorite ways to explore an idea is to abstract it through art. By using shape, color, and texture—I get to let my subconscious mind work and decipher what it means to me.
This week, I encourage you to make art around the topic of “joy.” Your art could be very literal: a depiction of what brings you joy. It could be more interpretive, like mine—I thought of the word as I let myself paint.
I encourage you to make art around this week’s theme and share what feelings came up from you. As you observe your creation, what thoughts arise?
If you are so called, you can upload your work on a cloud drive and post a link so we can all enjoy our “joyful work” together. Remember to silence your inner art critic…art doesn’t need to be “good,” it just needs to “be.”
Be brave, be bold, make art. Many blessings to you!
