2025-06-30 05:23:55 +0000 UTCSo you chose Texas, do you plan to involve one of the three Texas Indian reservations or the Oklahoma Indian reservations? Also do you plan to have special MACUSA Aurors IE the famous Texas Rangers? During WW2, German High command had to issue statements explaining that the Texas rangers were not invading Germany but instead was US rangers. Legends about Texas rangers are some of the most famous in the world. Would be cool to do a Walker type or something Ranger involvement. Also I know you haven’t said where in Texas, is this a panhandle, Dallas-Fort worth metroplex, Houston, San Antonio? Rural near the coast? El Paso is very different from the hill country between San Antonio & Austin. Another option, Is this one of the 100 islands in Texas? Or is this East texas area? The reason I am asking is this is the biggest state in the 48 and it’s a very diverse place to live. For example New Braunfels is a German town. Of course Texas has a special place in standing against oppressive regimes that includes the Battle of San Jacinto and the Alamo being its two most important. There’s also the story of the lady who stopped the Capitol from being moved from Austin to Houston by firing a canon and demanding that the state documents stay put. The state also has 254 counties. The idea being you are never more than a horse ride from the county courthouse. Anyway if you need any Texas details let me know.

Remus asks if Lilly's okay with Sirius & that means he's a bad egg not to be involved as an Uncle to Harry.... I know you've noted Sirius is more paranoid in this story, but jeez! I am looking forward to you writing a whole new setting. Hopefully it'll read fresh & new. Anyway, thanks for the chapter and I look forward to the next.

2025-06-29 22:32:13 +0000 UTCOn one hand, this is a pretty good start, and the weird memories hint at some sort of bleedover from the Horcrux (without a full accompanying personality like your other story), or some weird form of postcognition. Either will be pretty interesting to read about. On the other, the whole dual wand woods+cores has been overused to death by many awful Indie!Harry stories. I'm hoping that there is actually some huge significance to this further down the line. After all, even the most fearsome wizard of the last generation was just a dude named Tom, with a conventional, if somewhat powerful, single core/wood wand.
