Not sure if YouTube comments provided context about why it exists but the first iteration was created entirely by 1 person, David King. He’s been working at Treyarch for over 20 years and DOA was a little side project they allowed him to put in the game and it became a sort of cult classic to continue making. They also scanned his likeness for Daniel Clarke, the scientist behind the creation of Nova 6 in the first black ops campaign. DOA as a whole is very silly but such a fun change of pace. I’m eagerly awaiting the 3rd installment in the far future :)
