I’m go ride this one out. But after 6-7 stories, the wiring is getting stale. “When the Roses Bloom” was the peak and now we are in the valley. Credit is given because that is probably a top 5 fanfic ever written.

2024-05-28 06:17:34 +0000 UTCWhile l agree that we do not want a wizarding Britain with 'muggles who use wands', I do think the author has shown plenty of times where Harry has embraced the old ways. Furthermore, in the stories where Harry's somewhat political he tends to take a neutral stance. E.gs. of the above = Harry using ritualistic magic, Raised by Cassiopeia to be the next Lord Potter & Black & Understanding the need for the 'marriage contract' to marry Narcissa before Lucius did.

2024-05-27 08:41:15 +0000 UTCI’d like to see a story where the majority of the sacred 28 wasn’t wiped out. I know Malfoy and his lot were pretty despicable in cannon but it seems to me a wizarding world without the old families would go a bit to muggle killing them off in every timeline I think would leave the wizarding world worse off. Can you imagine a wizarding world ran by families like the Weasly’s It would mirror the muggle world. Wizards would just be muggles carrying sticks. Would really take the magical out of the magical world/ I’ve lived in the muggle world my whole life and it kind of sucks. Maybe they aren’t entirely wrong wanting to keep the old ways around. Voldemort is evil as shit but maybe the Pureblood movement isn’t entirely wrong. . It would be nice to see a story where they are written in a better light. Be a nice change of pace to see a Harry that embraced the old ways and didn’t blanch and freak out every time someone proposed a marriage contract or treat it like it was a bad thing arranged marriages are still common in many parts of the world today and they aren’t seen as oppressive or terrible there just how they view marriage is different
