I mean that was my thought, that possibly Evans could have either known of or been involved in death of Amelia's parents. Could have been to prevent tham from jeopardizing his neutrality or could have been they were up to no good. But, honestly I think Amelia and her parents got too much of a high opinion of their parents, least Edgar knows or vaguely remembers how they really were and Amelia just seems like she has them on too much of pedestal. Besides if they were up to no good, then they got what they deserved and Evans should not get any flack.

I mean we're talking about a guy who rode on a fully grown Basilisk like it was a wild horse right into a rather large pack of werewolves lead by Fenrir Greyback himself with the very light help from a rookie auror. Not even Evans from When Roses Bloom Again universe did that and guessing this alternate Evans did not either.

Curious as to this version of Evans role in things going forward too and what exactly his role was in all this from the past as well or whether he was involved or knew of the death of Amelia's parents. I doubt he will try to kill Jameson and even if he tried I very much doubt he would succeed.

Re the rest of the chapter, I think making Bellatrix an apprentice made complete sense and I can't wait for another Black Family dinner. This mysterious new enemy tho??? In what felt familiar in the earlier chapters, you've really made this story feel fresh and new. Anyway, thank you for the chapter and I look forward to the next.

I was thinking, as we got a bit of their interaction, did Harry and Eleanor not have kids? Where would they have gone? Did they have the name Evans? I have so many questions because of this. But I'll wait to find out.

2024-03-24 17:53:55 +0000 UTCIt will be interesting to note their interactions, while Evans might be the more experienced of the two, he honestly hasn't fought high stakes battles or overcame terrible odds ever. On the other hand, Harry Jameson went to Death's Door and said 'Not today'. I hope Evans is only a side-character though, and remains the same, and that his vows prevent him from doing much to help Harry (maybe try to hinder him, but he gets around to help him some).
