Panel Text Style - Feedback

Morning all! Someone brought up a good point, with a lot of back and forth dialogue it might be hard to keep track of who's talking. So I threw together a rough idea of some things I could do to make it easier for everyone

First is colored text, I'm going for very muted colors since I use a colored background for the panels, but I think it could work. Similar to how I did it back in the Let's Get Physical days! The downside is that too many people speaking can feel off possibly.

The second is just markers for who's speaking. Using their first initial, simple but effective. Less style though

Lastly, I could try and make a stronger effort to write more book-styled conversations. -Crystal said, Marcus scoffed, Trish bemused Things along that line. Which one do you feel fits best?

Why not both?

I actually like the book-style idea for dialogue, which can deepen/enrich the mood and atmosphere of a conversation. It’s a bit more work but imo makes for a better “story” rather than just watching a scene unfold. But honestly it’s your piece you should do what feels best to you.

I think the colors would be easier to follow between the two options.

I think it's a good idea. It would make a lot easier to follow.

Working on colors now! Made some progress with the help of some friends

I haven't had any trouble following who is talking, but I'd prefer the colored text to the all white with an initial. If you wanted to throw in some descriptors, I wouldn't go every line. Even in books you will get a conversation between two characters without a descriptor on everything. It is the quoted line skipped line to another quoted line that implies the other individual is talking now...

Color coding is the way to go. You just have to pick colors that contrast well against the background.

I think it works good, but I would make the background black, so that the colors pop a bit more.

Colored text would work just fine. Imo

I'm working out the colors some more so it's better. Legible is key!

I'm leaning towards color coding, working out the theming so it's fitting but legible!

Color text is good, but in the example the darker color is hard to read against the dark background. (Maybe I'm just old haha).

Text doesn't have to be too styled, so simple markers from their initials are exactly what I have on my mind. Book-ish style is another level, but if you feel comfortable to write it in this style it would be good too. Most important thing is that YOU have to be okay with the result and have some kind of fun when you create this stories.

In my history of reading stories done similarly to this color text to signify characters seems to really help
