Bonus Q: What pair of video game characters would you most want to be your parents? Dont have to be from the game, universe, etc.

Kissybears

What are your thoughts on multiple endings in narrative games? I recently played a game that seemed focused on telling a cohesive story with a clear message, but at the very end, it introduced a choice to determine who survives, which ultimately decided the ending. It felt out of place and got me thinking—when and where are multiple endings appropriate? Do they ever negatively impact the narrative? Sometimes, I just want to experience a single, well-crafted story! What do you think?

Would you ever consider hosting an in person live show where tickets are sold to fans? Maybe in whatever region has the most subscribers. Or, could we have something similar to what TMS does in Vegas?

Chip-a-lip

What are your thoughts on having a guest on the show? Not like every week or anything, but it could be interesting to have a different perspective every once in a while.

Aaronymous

I have been diving each week since the game went live. I’d love to be part of a CORE divers team if there was one.

Trash Panda

Can we get an uncut video version of last week's show?

Jason

If your other co-hosts of Core were the main character of a game, what game would it be. What would their move set, appearance, class be etc (Lake Running is banned for Beau, we need to diversify his Lore)

What makes you give up on a game early on? And what game tackles that problem very well? For me it has to be a long opening tutorial, that's just windows and explanation. I get annoyed by too much hand-holding, just let me fail. And more importantly, let me play the game! For me a game that does this, even though I'm quite sure I would LOVE the heck out of it is Stellaris. Every time I feel like giving it another shot I am just listening to that little helper robot and do what he tells me to do, then, after an hour or so, I'm like: Is this still the tutorial? Compare that to the campaign of any Blizzard RTS. First couple levels are tutorials, but you're actually just playing it as simple missions. It gives a totally different feeling.

What is your favorite new game mechanic you experienced in 2024?

Slugg3r

With the Steam Deck now "officially" available in Australia and awaiting my OLED 1TB. What would be your Must Have Games?

Vadersan74

Lots of video game talk but I want to know what sort of comics you’re into right now. What’s a new series that you started that you absolutely want to see more made of? For me it was BZRKR with Keanu reeves.

Luis padilla

If you could MiB style zap away the memory of one game to play it fresh again, what game would that be?

OmegaNine

Hi Core - been a listener and supporter since about August 2021 and love the show. I keep hearing about Beau and the bush burger however i am not sure what the story is. I must have missed that episode or was prior to me listening. Can Beau reshare the story for those that missed it? Thanks! -- Krafty

What movie or TV show do you think deserves an amazing video game adaptation, and why? What genre would it be? (For the purposes of this question, let’s pretend the resulting game is good.)

Sam

You're all swept into Azeroth (Narnia style) and have to choose a race and class for yourself to start at level one. What's your race/class combo and which chromie timeline would you choose to level through?

Rocklahomie

For Scott: Which franchise or setting would make you play a tower defense game? For Jon: Which franchise, setting, or gameplay mechanics would make you play a mobile game? For Beau: What would it take for you to play a fishing game?

John Taszarek

Some “core” memories I have of gaming in my youth were things like lugging big TVs into my parents house to have a halo lan party, or spending an entire day off at my first apartment smokin weed and eating an entire Costco pizza over the course of a day while playing Skyrim for 9 hours straight. Let’s hear some of your best gaming core memories!

Jack the Knife

If you could pull up game stats that covered your entire life (like total time spent playing a game across your lifetime, game with the most plays) what stats would you be interested in seeing?

Darth Platypus

"Top 5" games of all time is often mentioned on the show by the hosts. What is the actual list for each of you for your top 5 games of all time? (Or 10? Or 3? Or 7.5 games?)

Dead Squadron Games

I know plenty of us are cautious of the use of AI in creating video games. However, would you be interested in seeing it used for tutorials or customized in game guidance? I think it could be useful if AI could be used to recommend optimal next steps towards item upgrades in World of Warcraft or even coach me on how to improve my rotations.

Montyboggs

Have you ever had a genre that you loved so much it caused you to only play that type of game for months? That happened to me with metroid vanias this year and hollow knight is now one of my favorite games of all time to the point where it and BG3 are like the only games I've done multiple playthoughs in the past 10 years.

Incredibleplum

What were each of your favorite games growing up?

Bradley Dexter

What songs do you feel best symbolize the current trajectories of popular AAA studios? (Bungie, Blizzard, Square Enix, FromSoftware, etc)

Cory Thorp

You’re building the perfect hardcore game, on a scale of 1 (zero persistent progress like Rogue), to 10 (so much time spent building persistent progress, Hardcore Runescape), what’s the right balance? Also, just won the Xbox Dragon Age from y’all, so expect a review! With my dad gaming time, I should have a review to you before next Christmas ;)

MaceGrim

When will we see the return of the Coredivers? Helldivers 2 has been going strong again and I'm eager to see (and possibly help with) the shenanigans you three can get into. Your's in this life and the next, Searadiver

Shawn White

How do you feel handhelds like Steamdeck, ROG ally etc are changing the gaming landscape? I feel they have arrived at the moment AAA titles are becoming unsustainable. The performance limitations of such hand holds together with the financial issues of AAA gaming have come together to offer an alternative gaming market based less on fame rates and graphic fidelity and more on fun gameplay and convenience (quick game in bed, during lunch break or whilst commuting). This stands against the last ten years pursuit of ever increasing graphical realism from the majority of the mainstream (outside Nintendo who perhaps opened the space with the Switch). Love to hear your thoughts, and thanks for the weekly dose of gaming goodness and the positivity you all bring to this community!!

Mic Smith

Could we get another Scott as MC and Beau as DJ moment? That moment this year was pure gold. ❤️

Desert island game, no internet?
