Too true! Good, well written, and thoughtful angst is so juicy!!! The yearning, the heartache, the joy when it's resolved. Love that. Also, I recently had a thought that Bad Buddy is very obviously a Romeo and Juliet (or Kwan and Riam) retelling. So I wonder if they're using the break up as a substitute for the tragic deaths at the end of those two stories. It's either this or a double death. And I've had enough of THAT with UWMA to last a lifetime. 😂 I'll take the break up and temporary separation, please.

InkPa and WaiKorn had my heart bursting omg

2022-01-16 13:29:27 +0000 UTCI cried so hard when Uncle Tong answer their question alongside that beautiful song Pran’s singing. So good! Then I immediately became upset after watching the preview 🤣😂. I think they did break up at the beach. That’s why Pran said “Good luck, BUDDY” before going home.

2022-01-16 11:07:35 +0000 UTCThis show really knows how to raise you up and then bring you crashing down, huh? 😂😂😂 I loved this episode, though. I don't even have an issue with the ending and the implications from the preview. I love storytelling and character work and the ep gave me that in spades. Even more, I've never disliked breakups or time skips as long as they feel authentic to the story being told and characters being explored. And this decision at the end feels achingly, bittersweetly authentic to Pran and Pat, the pressures of their familial turmoil and the way they've both internalized so much of their pain, loneliness, and perception of filial duty. I will say that I would've rather we got 16 eps to unpack every nuance of this back half of story or perhaps cut some of the friend conflict, move this episode up 2-3 slots, then had more time exploring the fallout with the parents, the breakup, and getting to know the boys more after the presumed time skip. It would've been fantastic to really dig into them as older, more assured, and more stable individually. Then watch them find each other again. As it stands, I fear if this time skip really does happen, we won't have enough time to truly explore their new dynamic together in a satisfactory way. That's, of course, if we don't get a S2 which is anyone's guess at this point.

This episode was so good, I actually appreciated how this episode strayed away from ep. 11 being the cursed episode, although the ending was a big hit in the face. I'm not 100% sure how confident I feel about saying this, but I'm wondering if them breaking up is either a way to just get their problems out of the way, or if it really happened. Not sure, but it may be wishful thinking lol anyway, absolutely loved this reaction and I can't believe next week is the last episode. Also, screaming at InkPa and Wai and Korn ahhhh <3

2022-01-15 23:01:21 +0000 UTCI’ve been waiting for this one. Episode 11 was heaven. It really was a honeymoon up into they did the deed. In the book, it was very steamy. The happy scenes you saw before they enter their house is them describing what it would be like if Pran Mom was never mad at Pats’s Dad. I thought the curse was broken until I saw the previews for finale. I thought they were lying to their parents at first. But with the time jump, new haircuts, and talk of a reunion, I knew it was real. I actually screamed, “Nooooo.” I know it will have a happy ending since it’s the finale, but it hurt for them to break up after the episode they just gave us😭😭😭

That’s why I kept saying this feels like “a finale” like it didn’t feel like there was gonna be an episode and I feel like they did break up on the beach that night after Pran sang his song! They wanted to have one more moment before going back home knowing they would have to go separate ways omg this episode 😭😭

Even though they both ran away from home but it is like a honeymoon for them because how they are willing to stay by each other's side and be happy. I enjoyed the sweet moments they shared. However towards the end, something felt real sketchy about this episode though. Especially when Pat was wondering why Pran wants to go home so soon but he felt that if they did go home they wouldn't have time for each other anymore so he wants their relationship to last as long as they can there, continuing to fight for their love. But when they got home they knew what they had to do and something tells me that a breakup will happen just to make their parents satisfied or do what's right. Ughhh...not like this! I felt deceived how that preview caught us all off guard!! 😭
