That's what I figured when he was confused LOL I was like he must not have said clearly who he was talking about lol and honestly same feeling. Koyama is so adorable but for Hira he just can never be "that person" for him. Kiyoi is the only one in Hira's mind and that is still very clear even after all that time!

"Kimoi" which is short for "Kimochi Warui" or "bad feeling" probably translates more in between "creepy/weird" and "gross" to get the vibe right. While "disgusting" is not wrong, per se, I feel like it has a stronger negative connotation in English than is meant with Kiyoi's "kimoi.".

2022-01-15 14:36:26 +0000 UTCHahaha. The reason Koyama is confused when Hira says all the girls were chasing his "beautiful person" was because that entire time Hira never used a pronoun. He kept using something which basically means "that person" so it was gender neutral. I really wish Gagaoolala had translated that as the genderless "they" instead. I like Koyama and he's a good person who deserves happiness...but he is all wrong for Hira romantically. And, frankly, I'm not sure Koyama could handle Hira's...let's say, more "eccentric" qualities. I just have this image in my mind of Hira saying his usual OTT ish like "I wish I could kiss the ground where your feet have tread so I can taste that path that leads me to you." or some weird shit out of the blue and Koyama just mouth agape, not knowing what to do. 😂😂😂😂 Cuz that's how Kira talks to Kiyoi all the time. Hira and Kiyoi both have some toxic tendencies with each other but nothing irredeemably so, so far imo. They just need to have honest communication and lay down some rules for how to approach their dynamic and it would go a long way to improve their relationship.

Kiyoi isn't a bad guy but I do agree that he has toxic traits towards Hira and he's expressing them in a way that he lowkey likes him yet he's not owning up to it or expressing it. Maybe he is afraid of being rejected, or judged which I get. As for Hira he does have that calm toxic aura because Kiyoi was like his first love crush and yet after they left high school he still thought about him and all the feelings came back. As much as I ship Hira with Koyama, Hira and Kiyoi can be toxic together if that makes sense lol
