Poll: Physical Encouragement
Added 2025-02-15 18:30:02 +0000 UTCHi, so I thought to myself, how do you integrate the spicy stuff into the combat?
Some games have terrible horrible things happen when you lose, but it doesn't work for Goblin Layer's style.
Or they do nice things with the enemy during combat.
This works for the boss encounters like Goblina, but not for swamp ogre #4.
So what remains is your Party Members. Thus the Physical Encouragement skill was born:
- Buffing each other, by touching each other.
- The higher your 'Intimacy' score is with you party members is, the more intense the "touching" becomes.
- The score is increased by questing and using the skill.
- I am currently working on implementing it
- it will probably show up in 0.57.4, but the artwork & animations will take a bit longer.
Anwyay, to the question:
Should all party members have have individual intimacy scores, or should it be centralized around Goblin Layer? Or Very basic?
Individual would mean:
Maybe Goblin Layer & Barrel can have a high score. So their 'encouragement' is more intense.
But Anvil & Barrel has a low score. So their 'encouragement' with each other is less intense.
Of course, everyone's scores can be increased through gameplay.
Centralized:
We only track Goblin Layer's intimacy score with the others.
If e.g. Priestess and Barrel interacts, we can just use the goblin layers score to check 'em.
Very basic:
There's only one intimacy score that the whole party uses.
Simple! But maybe less... gameplay-y?
If you don't know wtf is going on, that's fine, I can make my own decision.
Just wanted to check if there were any opinions on the subject first.
Comments
I think I'll start with 'centralized', but can always expand it later.
