Walk of Memory

Six years ago, on July 19th, She had been a neuroscientist named Kevin and Chelsy was a quantum physicist working as his research partner. Together they had combined the two sciences into the unthinkable. “Mind Transference”
Unwilling to wait for the regulatory nightmare of human trials, the two of them tested their creation, on themselves.
At first it had been disorienting, but exciting to suddenly be in the body of his lab partner. “It’s a nice visit, but I wouldn’t want to live here” Kevin had joked from Chelsie’s body.
Chelsie, felt the same about Kevin’s body. Once the charged particles dissipated, in 48 hours, they would switch back and publish.
As they were leaving the lab that night, Kevin, not used to being a small woman, was attacked by a masked man with lust in his eyes. Kevin was about to be overpowered, when Chelsie, in Kevin’s 6’2” body came to the rescue. But Chelsie was not used to Kevin’s strength and size. She slammed into the attacker and they both toppled off the edge of the deck to their death.
With no body to return to, and the quantum physics knowledge to recreate the experiment lost, Kevin has lived as Chelsie for the last six years. She knows she will be woman for the rest of her life. A life of regret and gratitude for her heroic partner.
