To make up for this, we are thrilled to announce that we will be releasing two new updated rally homologation special rally cars from the 1980s. These two machines are still a work in progress, but we have made significant strides in updating their physics, which we believe will provide a more immersive and realistic driving experience. We expect these two amazing cars to be available for use this coming weekend to Patreon supporters, after which they will be queued for remastering.
The first of these updated cars is the Ford RS200, a legendary homologation special that was produced in limited numbers to meet the requirements for participation in Group B rally racing. Featuring a mid-mounted 1.8-liter turbocharged engine that delivers 250 horsepower, the RS200 was a true rally icon that dominated the competition during its brief but illustrious career.
The second updated car is the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16, another homologation special that was produced to compete in Group B racing. With its distinctive boxy styling and potent 1.8-liter turbocharged engine, the Turbo 16 was a formidable competitor that helped Peugeot win two consecutive World Rally Championship titles in 1985 and 1986.
