Medical Miracle

“Is he awake?” The doctor asked.
Alan looked him directly in the eye. Despite being above him, the doctor seemed 1000, miles away, and the pain was almost gone
“Mr. Avran, We have an experimental procedure that might save your life and even restore you limbs but there are significant side effects….”
“Do it!” Alan gasped. The room was getting so dark. He knew he was dying. He couldn’t stand to leave Lydia behind.
“Sir, I haven’t had a chance to explain.”
“Do it.” Alan used his last burst of failing strength to force out the words before it went dark.
“Doctor! She’s awake!” the nurse calmly announced as light flowed back into Alan’s eyes.
He sat up and immediately knew something was wrong. He threw back the covers and pulled at his gown revealing the shocking truth.
“Alan, baby?” Lydia was in the door. “Sweetie, they saved you but there were side effects, but it’s ok honey. I’m not going anywhere. I’ll teach you all you need to know about being a girl” She blushed. “Fact is, you’re still my type” She smiled and Alan knew that it was all going to be ok.
