Dr. Roberts of FDE Labs was extremely apologetic, promising to fix the mistake, but months went by and the solution seemed elusive. Meanwhile, Mags had been returned to the men’s prison where FDE was sourcing its volunteers. As he had undergone an experimental anomaly rather than a gender confirmation procedure it would likely take months for the Courts to approve his move to a women’s penitentiary. So Mags lived in constant fear of discovery.
Finally, Dr. Roberts offered a way out. FDE Labs would get Mags early release if he agreed to Double down on the “side effect” and make a complete transition.
Mags signed the papers and was immediately taken offshore to an island lab.
Mags awoke in an elegant bedroom. A look in the mirror confirmed that she was now a complete woman.
A Dress was laid out along with jewelry. She put them on and walked out to the attached sunroom. On the table were some dried flowers and a note.
Mags, I have loved you since our first interview. I know you may be angry, but now that you are a woman, we can be together and, in time, you will learn to love me.
