Hi everyone!

Friends, we’re so very close to wrapping up the main work on Tame It Too! version 0.10.0! We’ve tackled a ton of tasks over the past week: we’ve added most of the quests and related texts, finished animations for Octa’s scene and started assembling it in-engine, placed more points of interest and details across the Valley location and completed plenty of other big and small tasks.

Let’s walk through the key news together!

Octa’s Scene

All animations for the steamy interactive scene with Octa are done! Now we’ve moved on to the most challenging part: programming all the possible actions within the scene. This means every animation must trigger smoothly on click, work together without conflicts, and avoid any awkward or abrupt movements. It’s going to take some time, but we can already tell that this scene is turning out to be quite good.

Valley Location

The Valley becomes more lively each week! We’re adding new details, from small flowers and bushes to fairly large objects, and also polishing existing ones while giving them relevant features.

We’ve added a small pond for Octa, a cozy place where she’ll live, and one that you’ll need to improve to make your little octopee feel comfortable. We’ve also finalized the in-game map of the Valley. Just like on Dragon Coast, you’ll be able to track your companions’ movement, see quest locations and access other helpful info as you play.

Points of Interest

Almost all of the major points of interest are ready! We’ve even added a few that won’t be accessible in v0.10.0, but you’ll be able to see them from afar.  Some points of interest won't have all the planned features yet; we'll add them later. Nevertheless, we hope you enjoy exploring and discovering each one!

Construction

We continued polishing the building mechanics and worked on interior lighting. You’ll be able to mount torches on walls to make your home brighter and cozier! We’ve also added a possibility to put a large bonfire that will act as the heart of your village, a landmark where various scenes and events will take place in the future.

Trailer

We’ve started working on the first trailer of Tame It Too! — something we’ve long planned to do! With the appearance of the game's page on Steam, it’s also become a must. The script is ready, and now we’re gathering video materials that will be used later. We’re still at the beginning of this task, but we’re hopeful we can create a cool video that draws attention to our game!

You are doing a superb job, congratulations!! Even if the game takes a direction that doesn't suit me, I will continue to support you because the game remains unique in its genre and ambitious!!

So yes, I completely agree with you, she is the best. If the game was based on Lee conquering the oceans then yes Octa would have been a queen !! Imagine Lee approaching his island, building his camp, then his village, his port, his first boat, exploring island after island, discovering islands to trade with the natives where he could have cultivated crops. He could have assigned to each new island a daughter as queen to manage a camp, a trading post, a hunting and skin production island, a ship captain Octa ! to transport the resources to his main island, which could have become a capital city with new buildings over time. But no for the moment we are going rather towards a terrestrial game where octa will surely only be a magnificent status but unfortunately very immobile apart from perhaps she will be a nice bait for fishing ..... she deserves better my 2 cent !
