Poll: NBMD Grace Remake

Hey everyone!
When I first worked on NBMD, I had already been developing NBMF for over a month. I’d learned quite a lot by then, but I was still figuring things out, so a lot of details slipped through, and the overall consistency wasn’t quite where I wanted it to be.
Honestly, I’ve been thinking about remaking Grace for four or five months now. The thought just kept coming back every so often

Because NBMF kept expanding, I had to keep suppressing that urge. But last week, I finally gave in and decided to sneak ahead and remake Grace’s sprites. Even though I already had the character’s appearance and outfit prompts from the original version, it still took me four full days to finish!
(Yes, I know I should be working on the NBMF Hopeful Bittersweet route first... but I couldn't wait 🥲)

Just to clarify, this poll won’t affect future development plans. It’s purely to hear your thoughts about this remake 💬
Since I spend so much time looking at these sprites every day, seeing parts I’m not satisfied with for too long really hurts motivation 😭 (Just like with the early NBMF art that I’ve always wanted to redo, but it’d take too much time.)

Here are the main points for this remake:

Facial and body consistency:
The original version had small differences in facial features and even chest size across different outfits. In the remake, I refined everything so it’s much more consistent—unless you put them side by side, you probably won’t notice a difference.
(The hair color still varies a bit, but that’s something I can’t fully fix yet 🥲)

Bust adjustment:
Cristine’s bust has gradually been getting bigger and bigger, probably because I just really like bigger chests 😳
But originally, Cristine was supposed to have a smaller bust than Grace, so to keep things consistent, I decided to make Grace’s bust a bit larger!

Updated age settings:
I’ve always felt that Grace’s face looked a bit too “baby-faced.” Besides, originally, Eric and Grace were in their twenties, and Fletcher in his forties. Now I’ve decided to change them to thirty and fifty, which fits better with the story’s direction. At the moment, the script doesn’t seem to mention any specific ages or contain scenes that conflict with this new setting.

Consistent expressions and poses:
I’ve always felt that the same emotion should keep the same pose across outfits. For example, some of Cristine’s expressions looked noticeably different depending on the outfit, which made things feel inconsistent.

More pose variety:
On the other hand, if every outfit uses the same pose, things start to look too boring and cheap. So I plan to create additional poses for certain emotions to make them feel more expressive. Right now, I’ve finished the neutral smiling pose and plan to add two more soon!

當初製作 NBMD 時，其實我已經在做 NBMF 一個多月了。雖然因此學到了不少經驗，但那時仍在摸索階段，很多細節沒有注意到、整體一致性也沒有到我理想的程度。
老實說，這件事我從四、五個月前就一直放在心上，偶爾就會冒出「我真的想重做 Grace」的念頭

因為 NBMF 的內容持續擴增，我一直壓抑著這個衝動。結果上週終於還是忍不住，先偷跑去重製了 Grace 的立繪。雖然已經製作過所以有角色外型跟穿著的 prompts，但仍然花了我整整四天時間！
（雖然我知道我應該先做 NBMF Hopeful Bittersweet 路線，但真的等不及了 🥲）

不過要先說明一下——這個投票結果不會影響後續製作方向，單純是想了解大家對這次改製的想法！畢竟我每天都要面對這些圖，如果看著不滿意的版本久了，其實會蠻影響動力的 😭（就像 NBMF 早期的部分素材，我一直很想改但又太耗時）。

以下是這次重製的幾個重點方向：

臉部與身材一致性：
原版在不同服裝下的臉有些微差異，甚至胸部大小也略有不同。這次我重新調整後，除非特地把圖排在一起對比，應該不太會看出差異。
（目前大概差異最大的是髮色部分，但這個我暫時還沒辦法處理 🥲）

胸部調整：
其實 Cristine 的胸部有越來越大的趨勢，因為我實在太喜歡大胸部了，就不小心越做越大 😳
但原本設定裡，Cristine 的胸部應該是比 Grace 小，所以為了讓整體設定更一致，我決定把 Grace 的胸部調大一點！

年齡設定調整：
我一直覺得原本 Grace 的臉有點太「娃娃臉」，另外原設定是 Eric／Grace 二十多歲、Fletcher 四十多歲。現在我決定改為三十歲與五十歲，整體更符合故事走向的設定。目前劇本裡應該沒有具體提到年齡，或跟新設定有衝突的劇情。

表情與姿勢一致性：
我一直覺得相同情緒下，不同服裝的角色應該要維持一致姿勢。像 Cristine 的一些表情就因服裝不同而變得不太一樣，這讓我覺得不太協調。

姿勢多樣性：
但如果所有服裝都用同樣姿勢，又會顯得太制式。所以我打算針對部分特定情緒，設計額外的姿勢來增加表現力。目前完成的是一般微笑表情，之後還會再增加兩個姿勢！
