We're working on an update!

So, right now, Tir and I are working on updating Southern Ruby island. We've got some good feedback, and to make to game even more enjoyable, we decided to implement these suggestions into the game.
So what does this mean? Well, for starters, it means we're going to change the UI a lot. With bigger text boxes, no randomization of choice options anymore, and an automatic save option.
Furthermore, all the characters will get different expressions to make them more livelier, as well as that Fia's and Brownie's dialogue options will be edited to make them more interesting.
Lastly, we're thinking of adding mini-games to the finding wood and finding rope options to make those a bit more challenging to collect, and maybe the option to play as a female will be released as well!
I'll make more of these posts as we progress, and for our Patrons there will be the option to see these different expressions as soon as they're drawn, as well as get sneak-peeks at how the game will look. Of course, they'll be the first to play the new version of the game as well. :)

Maybe you've noticed, but the places you encounter the felines have ''themes.'' You have the lagoon which has the Pokémon as its theme and you have the oasis which has the game felines as its theme. The next six felines (when we get to work on them) will have themes as well, AKA references. :)

2018-03-07 22:24:56 +0000 UTCoh, well i meant "gaming references" as in all the characters so far are gaming references. pokemon, animal crossing, and one from digimon and monster hunter (which totally came out of nowhere, wasnt expecting a palico to be there). but i really do hope you get more funding, i'll be waiting ever so (im)patiently for the next update. ;D

2018-03-06 05:40:26 +0000 UTCIt really depends, kaleb. Updating Southern Ruby Island shouldn't take as long as creating Northern Ruby Island. The problem, however, is expenses. The more financial support we get, the more we can realize in a faster time. Right now, Tir and I nearly don't have enough to create Northern Ruby Island, hence why we're focusing on Southern Ruby Island instead. As for entirely original characters, those won't appear until Sapphire Island, the second island in the chain. Creating those is simply going to be more expensive. Also, I could throw in some gaming references, that's not a problem. :)
