Nier Duo 2Bx2P new "sexy" update!

How are you doing? How’s your week going?
Today is Tatiana Day also known as Student Day. It is the day when the mid term exams at the university finally end. When I was studying Sociology in my local university it was the coldest day of the winter. Every year. After this day winter usually becomes warmer and more comfortable. I don’t know how it’s now since I no longer live there, but I believe Siberian frost is brutal as always.
We managed to get through the coldest part, I sincerely congratulate all of us! )

How about an image filled with warms? I tried to choose an image close to that feel from Nier Duo photoshoot, but if it was a good choice I leave it to you to judges always. )

You may have already noticed Nier Duo photoshoot is thematically divided by color. Red and Blue. Usually you use colors that suit the narrative the most. Red color usually represents passion, lust and aggressiveness. And Blue color represents calmness and relaxation. But in this photoshoot I decided to go with an opposite approach.

The red part was used for classic fashion shots without any nudity. During pre-production I was thinking that it would work as the fastest way to draw the attention of the viewer. It would feel like 2B and 2P are welcoming you to join them and lay your eyes only on them. It’s like a promise for more.
If I’d decided to use red light for whole photoshoot it would feel too overpowered.
I knew that our models had never met before and I had a feeling it would be hard for them to adjust right away from the start. After all, it's hard to get naked in front of an unknown person to whom you have never talked before. Even more start hugging and touching, haha. )
Also Nier characters are usually shown as emotionless and stoic. Their android feelings and love are hidden deep and it needs a lot to pull them out.
Taking this both points in consideration I decided that the “naked part” would be shot using blue light.
More calming color helps to freshen the “eye palette” after aggressive red. It not only hides the small tension between models, but makes them look more natural, more gentle, almost like sisterhood love. Also it blends well with the original character narrative.

Another thing I tried to pay attention to is “active” balance. To put it simply who is in “charge” if both characters in the frame. )
I wanted to give both best girls an opportunity to lead and show that they’re even. Like Yin/Yang. As you know the second part is focused more on individual shots, we’re trying to keep amount of individual shots even too. )
