January Main photoshoot announcement! [Yennefer from Vengerberg]

Hello my Sweethearts!

I’m Back and ready to start the 2023 journey!
I wanted to start earlier, but we were still waiting for the laptop to arrive. And it happened yesterday! The fun, but obvious thing about laptop that we should’ve expected, is unfamiliar german QWERTZ keyboard layout. (Of course it should be since it was bought from computeruniverse in Germany). Now I know where all ü, ö, ä и ß letters are located. And trying to get used to x, y and z being switched between each other. )
My secondary language layout is russian, so whenever I switched it was challenging to find where my @ at was. (it’s on “ä”).
So now I have very fun experience typing in english and russian on german keyboard, haha. )
Since I’m only using it for one day, in order to make this post happen I’m writing it on an old laptop. )
In case you were wondering what our choice is, it’s Asus ProArt Studio. Asus has special monitor line for color correction/grading called ProArt and I wanted to have one in the future. Well I didn’t get my hands on these monitors, but eventually I got a laptop made with same “creative purposes”. By the way, the screen is good and well calibrated.
If you work with images, video or graphics it will be a good choice. In case you don’t like or have a customized workflow in iOS.
If you were wondering how it performs in games: FF14 and Overwatch 2 worked on ultra, but laptop heats like crazy. )

If you ask me how I spent my new year holidays - I ate, slept, went for a walk and played Two Point Campus. I’m not sure if I managed to rest, but I needed this time. Mostly because I wanted some time to think about what projects to work on in 2023 and what to do in future.


The first project of the Year will be the long awaited Yennefer from Vengerberg.
You know what was the hardest part of this project? To choose the model able to embody Yennefer. I think we tried around 6 models for this role and I’m still not sure if my choice was right. We were searching for the model who could pull out that distinct “bitchy” facial expression, haha. )
Since I was shooting this project without Tao, it came out a bit “straightforward classic cosplay photoshoot”, because I wasn’t able to try more complex light schemes, angles or implement a story in the photoshoot. This is what usually happens when other Dzikan is not present. But I did my best. I’d say the project has old Dzikan flavor in it. )
As Master Oogway or Sun Tzu once said “The simpler, the better”, “Yennefer is the best girl” and “Support Dzikan, it’s worth it!”. Hehe.. )
