Hello my Sweethearts!
I managed to catch a flu. Didn't plan on doing so, our Tao got ill and it was inavitable for me to be in the same condition. Right now we both with headache and lots of snot, haha )
What a timing! Just at the time we need to work without any rest! Good thing it is not covid, and if we'll actively heal ourselves, there won't be troubles during vacation.
The thing that concerns me the most these days - our workflow slowed down and I can't do anyhting about it, rather than consuming huge amount of warm drinks and bouillon in order to be in action (broth, don't know which word is better). It is actual way to treat flu (thank you Captain Obvious), but it doesn't help with tiredness. I think I fall asleep every two hours of work, haha )
Anyway, we are working hard, but I'm afraid the amount of photos in August Rewards will be lower. I guess, we'll need to pack extra images in September rewards...
As you might noticed from Midnight Lesson special, we are actively using storyboards on set nowadays.
Previously, we used combination of written ideas and visual references. This is perfect, when you want to shoot "on spot". And it just feels more "artistic". )
But, if you are not in mood it might not work and just time consuming.
Tao decided that we need to change this "inconsistency". We decided, that he draws storyboards and write storyline for the photoshoot, and all visual side left on me (how we will shoot and how it'll look after post-production).
As the result our shooting time reduced, which interestingly opens more space for "improvisation" or like I wrote "on spot" shooting.
Also, it helps to better direct the model, which makes her to concentrate more on emotional side (to say simply "face", because not professional models forget about the face during posing. As we all do)
Subverse's Lily and Aerith showed us, that it was good decision and very important changes. Only weak spot of storyboard use, is the fact that I might not finish all photos needed for the story to be full and work as it was written.
If only there were decision to improve post-production process without adding more manpower. Which is only logical step, but, as it should be, costly. Maybe one day!
Our Aerith is veeery brave and "open" comparing to her in-game version. But this is "erotic cosplay photoshoot", where anything can happen. )
I'll share first look tomorrow!
Have a great day!
