Hello my Sweethearts!
Time for fresh update on our current project. As I wrote in previous post, one of Ashe's activities is playing billiards. Aside drinking vine and enjoying herself, like it was in previous part.
Here is she, waiting for her turn. We tried to play around the idea of viewer being part of the image. Like desirable guest.
I like this shot, because it is classic example of how to create depth in flat image - combination of framing, light scheme and use of objects to create perspective (aspect, not sure what translation to use).
If you are starter, this is good example. Not the best, but still not bad as reference. )
As you know, every billiards table has it's own lights above the surface. when we planned the photoshoot, I really wanted to use their constant light for some dramatic shots. As always reality is harsh.
They had SO BAD CRI, it is visible to the naked eye. Strange greenish tone on model's skin, which made her look very ill. In Ashe related post (to pt.1), I complained a lot about shooting location's quality of light sources. I fully understand reasons. Cheaper - easier, and vise versa.
Basically, we turned off everything that got in our way, and recreated what's needed using impulse lights. It is very natural process on every set (our colleges here will agree), but sometimes you just want to go with the flow and press the button. )
I hope to get our own collection of constant light sources one day. It'll be much easier to plan and think over every image. But it will cost a lot (to be real, anything professional cost a lot), so for now, we'll doing our best to save up bit by bit.
For now, I hope, you are feeling well and working week is going smooth. Don't forget to rest properly and eat at leat 3 times a day.
Have a great day and I'll be back soon!
