Before/After progress [The Void] and just my thoughts !

Hello my Sweethearts!

It'll be strange post. I think I'm making it in order to shake myself up. So, please don't judge it harshly.

Today I knew, that my grandma died. Week ago she was hospitalized with Covid-19 and was put on the apparatus of artificial ventilation of lungs (don't know the right name in english). My relatives and I didn't have high hopes, because she was 82 and her health wasn't that great. We all know how hard this virus hits eldery people with weak immune system.
And this morning she was gone.

Saddnes is big in me right now. But strangely I don't feel any grief. And it makes me even more sad. "We prepared for this outcome. Deep down, we knew what will happen and how low were chances are. Don't be hard on yourself. Best what we can do is to make her last journey comfortable. She loved you, you loved her
- this is what important." - this is what Tao told me.
Maybe that's why I'm writing this post. To make myself break from my current mind chains and be able to do what's needed.

Please take proper care of yourself and you loved ones. Nobody knows, when our time will come, but what can we do is to live as happy as we can.

I wanted to notify you, my Friends, that we'll do our best not to disappear, share the progress on current projects and works as hard as we can. Only thing, there might be long time between posts, because we need to parttake in preparations for the funeral.

Before I'll share with fresh update on our Ciri, I remembered that I haven't made before/after posts for a long time.
This kind of post actually makes me appreciate road we went and amount of work was put in the project. I think it is just my way to pat ourself on shoulder.
I hope, it is interesting to see differences image went thru post-production.

This project was easier to work on comparing to few previous ones. Main reason is our model being covered in black goo, hand marks and dirt. Which meant we needed to fix few skin issues, rather going beast mode in details, and proceed highlighting overall body shape.

As you see on original image, I removed light stand and window frame. If in case of stand it was natural decision, I put a lot of thoughts on erasing window frame or not. Frame gives off feeling of anxiety and preassure. Like character is traped in her small world. Which gives another meaning to The Void.
Original thought put in void is infinite space without any trace of living creature. Little by little it'll fill with darkness and swallow up everything trapped there.
That's why I decided to erase frames, because i'll end up too far from what I intended.
