Hello my Sweethearts!
Long time no see and many of you might lost me almost whole July. Where that "red-headed photographer" is gone? This is not a good thing in the first place, but there were reasons to all these.
First of all I wanted to apologies for very socially inactive month.
As you might know and remember, I announced several projects, that we are planning to work on in second half of the year. I can proudly say, that some of them are on finishing pre-production stage. When you plan one photoshoot for whole year, you are starting to get a little bit sick of it. "When I'll be able to shoot it? When?! SO much stuff left!" - something like that. But at this point of time, I can freely ask Tao to plan out shooting days, make final negotiations with locations and other producer details.
I can only say one thing, this photoshoots are: 1.about best little demon sister and 2. famous monster hunter girl. )
But where are good things, there is always unpleasant hides. One of our project faced its end and we no longer won't be working on it. It is another Demon Slayer character we were planning to work on at first, but life can't be predictable. Things like that happen time to time, but I believe, if something happened, it happened for good. Nothing too serious, so no worries. )
We just need to move on and spend left energy on more important tasks.
Another reason for absence was lack of showing anything. When I first announced shoot of our Ashe photoshoot (its first part), I wasn't expecting it to postpone for some time. We were limited with two small time windows, when our model was available and our shooting location was usable. July wasn't so sun friendly, and since our first part takes place outdoors it was crucial to have sun on set. (and be warm. Seriously, summer in Siberia can be colder than in autumn!) So we needed to wait, plan, wait again. FOR WEEK!
I'm the type of person, who doesn't write anything to anyone, until I have all information, valid arguments or, in our case, something to show to my supporters. Results, that I'll be proud to brag about and shout on every corner. I prefer to finish what I needed. Only that way my conscience can be at peace. Sometimes it costs me your support and trust (all the time), but this is my personal trait, that I hardly can overstep.
How can I look in your eyes, if I don't have even first fruits of our hard work to show? It is not fare, so waited and planned.
Our main project for July was shot and fully in progress. (it's first part). I'm reallyt happy to share with few photos from our Ashe backstage. It was beautiful and hard photoshoot, but results are pretty satisfying. )
Road to this photoshoot wasn't flowers and butterflies. When we thought we prepared everything, another thing appeared unfinished. So on and so on. It is the most expensive project that I ever worked on on my patreon! Here is small example.
I wanted to make TWO specific shots using smoke grenades. Usual smoke grenades (torch) last for about 3-5 seconds. Which is too little! Each costs around 400 rubles (about 5.5$). Not a big money you might think, but the way it was spent... We had 5 grenades. So we needed to be really precise and wish our flashlights will work normally without overheating. Aaand you might already figured out what happened right? ) Flashlights didn't work good! Luckily we managed to pull out few shots, good enough to work on. But imagine standing there and watching how your 2000 is burning down in few seconds and you can't do anything about it! (crying loudly in greedy tears). Let Google quotes say all for me: "I burn the way money burns".
One "unused" image with smoke you can see among photos I shared. )
I'm working hard on current photoshoot, but I'll probably will need a bit more days to finish all desired photos. Sorry once again for making you wait and leavinbg you in the middle of knowing nothing.
Hope you are feeling well and summer (even nowadays) is giving you sunny beautiful days and emotions.
Next post will come out very soon (really!), where I'll share with more stories from the Ashe photoshoot!
