Pre-production small stories! Location research

Hello my Sweethearts!

How were you been these days? August in Siberia feels like autumn (fall), it's rainy and chilly. Hope it's not the same at your place and you're enjoying warm summer days fully!
I'm working hard on August photoshoot. This time it'll be partily more mine creative photoshoot, than based on already existing. Partially, because I'll rely on description of creatures in Witcher book series and rework them as I see. The only thing I tell - they are militant (or warlike) due to human actions and live in forest.
Another Witcher based shoot will come in near future, but for it I need a bit more time for preparations. I wrote a bit about it in Discord as an answer to the question about plans. For my Friends who were waiting for it, please wait a bit more because I like this character too and want to make photoshoot as I imagened )

For now, small story about locations.
When I decide on character, first question is: Where to shoot?
It's really an important and hard question, because overall atmosphere of the shot depends on location (background). I'd say they tied up with each other. Location can tell you something about the character.

That's where "the devil is hidden". It's too hard to find exotic location for your character. Or sometimes find props to redesign location.
There are two ways: you find place or you add background in post, haha )
If you're interested I'll write bigger story about locations in future.

August's photoshoot is about finding location. Since I live in Siberia it quite easy to find forest nearby ) So I and my assistant were roaming around nearby forest about couple of days to find perfect locations.

Funny thing from field: We saw a tree which was damaged by bears claws, and if we weren't enough lucky we could meet him ) At least in spring!
