Hello my Friends!
Today I wanted to share with some thoughts on my working process.
Every cosplay photoshoot usually starts from classic poses of the character. They are easy to shoot and I use them to warm up my models. (it's easier when it comes to animalistic characters)
Hardest part of working with non-professional models: you need to show everything (how to pose, show emotions) and warming up can last quite long time. Only one thing that you can't properly demand from most of the models: good "eye-emotions" (hope you understood me, because I don't know how to properly translate it in english)
I always ask my models to train character emotions in front of the mirror or their camera phones before actual shoot. The best way to know character - watch source material and try. Unfortunately only on shooting it is possible to know, was model preparing or not...
This photo is a great illustration of this topic. Classic pose, which shows innocence and adorable nature of the character on first look. But eye-emotions are lacking of something. I'd say: Tsundere light, hidden excitement. )
It's still good shot, because it has "stop this already onii-san" vibe. Which is not-bad, haha )
Was it interesting my Friends? ) I'll try to share more stories and sides of my work in future. For now, I'm working hard on No Game No LIfe photoshoot and soon it'll be ready )
Have a productive working or resting week!
