Important! Regarding Patreon Tax Update!

I wanted to give you an update on some new changes that will affect some of your pledges. Due to new laws in several countries and US, Patreon will be required to charge for sales tax on some pledges starting on July 1st.
Some patrons will be charged sales tax. an example Patreon gave is, sales tax rates in the US range from 4% to 11%, so on a $5 pledge, that would be between 20 cents and 55 cents.
Whether or not you will be charged sales tax depends on your location, but not every pledge is taxable. Apparently if you are in a location where sales tax will be required, you should be getting an email from Patreon regarding this matter soon.

2020-05-18 02:10:05 +0000 UTCdefinitely and totally unexpected :/ tbh I dont like this changes too but I guess Patreon have to do it due to several countries passing this law, even my country are going to charge me for digital goods on July 1st >< the alternative is supporting me on FANBOX but I have to censor genitalia there due to Japanese law
