INMATE #12158 in Court

INMATE #12158 in Court

Comments

So, just after the verdict announced, inmate has to bow as sign of agreement. After that she stays at same place, but the court guards gives control over her to another transfer team from med-sec block. She feels the differense immediately - she is forced to bend even in the court room, hands shackled behind her back, she is led out of the court room.

Garry Nivel

Cool πŸ‘

Raoul

Yes, only for these sensitive inmates

Garry Nivel

Just before the court session the hat is changed to helmet with gag ==> I wouldn't see it as standard but option

Raoul

Right. Justice works effectively, humanely and fairly.

Garry Nivel

Absolutely right. The inmate is transfered by foot (about 25 minutes with all locking hubs and security posts). Going bent in chains, finally placed in court HC and dressed in court overcoat and hat. Just before the court session the hat is changed to helmet with gag.

Garry Nivel

Okay, can agree, but then the court session needs to be in a bit more remote building or wing of CDF with less security measures, so that a specific uniform and helmet would make sense. I assume that court trials are not only to sentence and degrade inmates but also to offer a spectacle to a wider (but selected) audience, to show to the 'public' that justice is working well...

Raoul

I would prefer it to be dress for short court sessions inside CDF.

Garry Nivel

Okay, now it's me who got it. Then forget my proposal. So we can consider this grey coat as personal, maybe prepared in advance of the court session with some status marks... Just to know: is it a dress only for the session or for transport, too?

Raoul

Oh, I got it. I just thought that overy dress or even overgarment are personal at CDF system. So, all visits and hearings are planned far ahead to arrange everythingThat’s why it takes so long The only thing provided by the court - is helmet. And numbers one the sleeves are not bands - I remember that you do not like bands))

Garry Nivel

Could be, but my concern was more on exchangeability of numbers on a court dress, but yes, until been transferred back to CDF, wich can take a while, inmate would be marked and identified according to her new status.

Raoul

Ok, so after the verdict the number will be changed to another color immediately?

Garry Nivel

Yes, I meant

Raoul

Do you mean chest imprint of number?

Garry Nivel

I guess the same as with the armbands... you choose blue ground with grey letters here, but could have been yellow on blue or orange on blue (for inmates exceeding now the max terms for low sec towards medium or high). If she was a service inmate it would have been green and so on...

Raoul

Great! What options do we have here?

Garry Nivel

Maybe one idea about uniform design... I think she already wears armbands with her inmate number. It could be a nice detail to try to make her chest imprint to a velcro tag with a colour code depending on her so-far or future security status

Raoul

Awesome. Thank you! πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Garry Nivel

I think so. Might be a bit tight, but who cares πŸ˜‰

Raoul

So it is wearable over normal uniform?? Great πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Garry Nivel

Overgarment

Raoul

Exactly. And the dress is a special overpayment from Aramide/Kevlar fibres, hardly to be destroyed by normal cutting or thrusting objects. It's also padded, so less injuries in case of trying to fall down the stairs

Raoul

Very hot. The guards were instructed about it and changed the standart hat to this helmet just before wntering the courtroom.

Garry Nivel

Yes, maybe not 'voice is not necessary' because inmates must not talk when not asked for report. But this inmate might have had an mental outbreak before and needs to be protected against herself, because she will get sn additional sentence of several years

Raoul

Yes, she is alredy inside CDF and serving her sentence. So, this may be some additional hearing where her β€œvoice” is not necessary.

Garry Nivel

Okay, but then we need to talk about several options πŸ™„ πŸ˜„ - is inmate already inmate and should know 'how to behave' or is he/she still first-time-defendant? - we have already defendant uniforms. This one looks rather robust as for violent prisoner...

Raoul

I see it as helmet with thick foam and gag inside that inmate is forced to wear before entering the court

Garry Nivel

But I do not like spitting too. And every inmate od CDF knows it is a serious violation

Garry Nivel

Oh no. Pictogram is great. And the visor hat is exactly what pictogram means

Raoul

But of course, it's humiliating what officers can do with inmates

Raoul

Not mine too) I meant just silenced inmate) should change the pictogram))

Garry Nivel

I like it, too, but if it would come (one uncertain day) to a story about a courtroom scene, it wouldn't be a story about me/ my inmate wearing such a garment. Spitting around is not in 'my character'

Raoul

Ot is just a concept, but I like this humiliating idea)

Garry Nivel

Special cases need Special solutions πŸ˜„ It's not priority part of my passions, but nice complementary aspect πŸ‘

Raoul

Just a fantasy) do you like it?

Garry Nivel

Good morning. Surprising concept πŸ‘β€οΈ
