Announcement: Heart Failiure

First let me apologize for my unannounced absence. I am sorry. The short explanation is I suffered serious heart issues compounded by other health issues. I will be getting back to posting regularly going forward, but everything is a mess. Still the most important thing is writing more, which is why I am posting right away. The next couple of days will see me on Discord and in chat sorting things out. It is like deal with the aftermath of a natural disaster with how much of a mess everything is. Thank you for your support and understanding.

I owe everyone a longer explanation on my health. I don't talk about my health with my family. It is something I consider a very private matter. There have been arguments in the past. Now it is something we don't discuss.

A bit over a year ago, I had heart palpitations or an arrythmia. Basically, my heart was not beating consistently. I was prescribed medication and told to stay hydrated and exercise. There were scans done and concerns brought up, but surgery had its own risks, very large risks, so I declined at the time.

Cut forward to the death cloud from Canada (still upset), this caused breathing problems. Which made it hard to sleep properly, which impacted my heart. Things quickly got worse from there. I went to the hospital to get things checked out. My heart has serious issues. After that there were several doctor's visits, rest, and medications, and more discussions. There were concerns about if I would be alive going forward. I have made a will in the event of my passing, but thankfully I haven't died.

I can say now, that the worst is behind me at the moment and I can focus on writing again. This was a big reason why I quit my day job a year ago to pursue my dream. There will be an update every day at 7 PM EST going forward. I am going to aim to get back to the regular amount of updates in the next 2 weeks. There is just a trainwreck of stuff. Also I have needed to reread things to catch up on the story and make sure I have a buffer.

Financially, I am okay, and am not counting on Patreon, which is weird to say. But the long term book deal I signed gave me the confidence and peace of mind to take a break to focus on my health so I didn't die. To paraphrase one doctor I saw, 'If your body is a car, and your heart is the engine, it is releasing black clouds of smoke.

Thankfully, it is now moving things again. Now I just have to go through everything. Pay my contractors, edits for CC, and above all lots of writing.
