Delay
Added 2023-02-26 00:00:23 +0000 UTCThe next two chapters are delayed. I know I hate when other authors release non-story posts. But I know many people wait on the release. I apologize.
Right now the ending to volume 8 is very complex. After tossing away the original arc, I have been spending the last several days working things out. I do not want to go back and retcon.
Volume 9 is planned and beyond but the ending I had envisioned for this volume isn’t possible, and does not make sense. That is why I haven’t been as active responding to comments.
Writing this story is my full time job. I take it very seriously. Normally I have a backlog from the easier chapters to write to ensure consistency, but with a huge plot change that isn’t possible. That was my mistake since I do a quick sanity reread the day of release.
I am not going to rush the next part since it is very important to get right. I have worked things out but normally I spend longer on complex scenes like Ruth leaving and the heist with 3-4 rereads.
We will be going back to double chapters tomarrow with no more delays. I just needed some time to figure out the ending arc. Thank you for understanding and my apologie.

No worries over the delay. To scratch that itch to read something I was rereading the crystal heist and the aftermath and noticed that there was 2 chapter 354s. Obviously it's not that important right now, but I just wanted to mention it here since I noticed it and idk if you check old chapter comments or not.

We know you kill yourself trying to get us two chapters a day so having a bit of a delay to ensure the quality is there sounds like a very fair thing. So is Volume 8 wrapping up soon? I noticed that most of your volumes are usually 45-50 chapters a piece and this one is about to reach that length too.

I much rather have a coherent story that doesn't have deus ex machinas, or worse a random epihany that makes the MC or someone semmi important change their views for no aparat reason or adleast not conveyed enough or my personal favourite going full on sequel star wars.. Where not even the creators know what a scene is supposed to conveye beyond... "it's cool", "it fills our agenda" or some other troopy shit.
