Guide To Stat Points V1.0

A guide to stat points and how they work including what happens at the 1,000 point mark. I am including this here, since there is no need to keep any of this hidden. There are a few minor pieces that haven't come up yet, but most of it has been discussed in some way already in story.

Stat points work on a semi-logarithmic scale. By observing the Body stat and the force monsters have generated it has been speculated the following levels approximately correspond to each stat.

At the higher levels it has been observed that monsters tend to be more imbalanced, but that the maximum stat points in any one area would correspond to the 10x increase per level.

Level 1: 10 Stat Points
Level 2: 100 Stat Points
Level 3: 1,000 Stat Points
Level 4: 10,000 Max Stat Points In A Single Category

Body: It creates and nullifies force. The body itself is not enhanced in any way.
1k Modifier: Able to control the amount of force used. Every 100 Body stat used per second over 1,000 uses 1 energy per second.

Mind: It disperses mental attacks. Increases processing speed while moving quickly. Increases skill control and ease of modifications to skills.
1k Modifier: Sense mind attacks, direction and location

Spirit: Increases your energy pool and the energy contained within oneself. Increases energy corrosion resistance. Increases control over altering store purchases.
1k Modifier: Energy shielding, can expel energy to shield against non-physical attacks

Perception: Increases the ability to sense threats and danger. Enhanced sensory processing and can focus senses to heightened levels.
1k Modifier: Gaze sense, ability to know what is focused on you.

Aura: Enviromental and general energy resistance. Curse damage resistance.
1k Modifier: Emotional projection. Can expend energy based on volume to impact other emotions based on your own. Can be resisted by their stats fairly easily.

Regeneration: Increases energy recovery at a rate of 1 stat point to 1 energy every 100 minutes.
1k Modifier: Energy regeneration capped by the zone. A level 1 zone can only utilize 1,000 of the stat. A level 2 zone can only utilize a max of 10,000 of the stat. This increases by a factor of 10 for each higher level zone.

Endurance: Reduces the need for sleep. Increases base healing rate and time frame until a restoration is needed. Increases curse resistance. Estimated that 100 stat points equates to 2 days of no sleep and 1,000 stat points equates to 4 days of not needing sleep.
1k Modifier: Energy conversion, allowing a person to convert energy into physical recovery.

Absorbtion: Reduces the need for food and liquids. Estimated 1/2 food for 100 stat points and 1/4 food for 1,000 stat points.
1k Modifier: Direct absorption, allowing a person to convert energy from their surroundings into their personal energy. Highly dangerous.

Sense: The ability to feel the surrounding energy fluctuations. Range impacted by energy density and effect observed.
1k Modifier: Perceive the energy forming other individuals' skills.

Channel: The ability to push energy into enchanted items.
1k Modifier: Raw channeling, can expel pure energy in significant quantities while still maintaining control and altering the energy outside of one's body.

Comments

The edge of a level 2 zone is quite far away, but yes. If there was a super large-scale siege this would come into play.

"Regeneration: Increases energy recovery at a rate of 1 stat point to 1 energy every 100 minutes. 1k Modifier: Energy regeneration capped by the zone. A level 1 zone can only utilize 1,000 of the stat. A level 2 zone can only utilize a max of 10,000 of the stat. This increases by a factor of 10 for each higher level zone." This has implications for sieges, If the besieging army can effectively surround a city, their high stat combatants will have access to much higher energy regeneration.

It seems like the 1k ability for Channel is much better than the base ability at first glance. I’m not sure how enchanted items function but switching the two might make more sense? Unless Channel is designed to be a stat most useful to the elite as a stat that requires a tier 5 city and less so for the mooks. Or maybe the mooks aren’t going to be capable of advanced energy manipulation and so it’s only useful for them if it’s set up this way. Hmm
