I think it was mentioned in the Atlantis Asgard episode that those Asgard moved into an Ancient outpost they had found so yeah the suits the evil Asgards were wearing, while not outright said were likely modified Ancient spacesuits (a nice little link between Universe and Atlantis there) Which brings me to something else people have forgotten to mention In the intro / pilot ..Rush says Destiny was launched hundreds of thousands of years ago ..This was actually an oversight in the writing I believe it was either Brad Wright or Robert Cooper who later confirmed this was a fuckup and said that Destiny actually predates Atlantis Meaning Destiny is at LEAST. several million years into it's journey since it was launched (given that the Atlantis pilot showed Atlantis on Earth "several million years ago") This also explains why the tech on Destiny seems so dated compared to Atlantis (and even to some of the Ancient tech seen on SG-1)

2025-03-30 06:46:10 +0000 UTCThe body of the EV suits Scott & Young wear are the same suits that were used by the Pegasus Asgard in Atlantis, but with different helmets. I'm not sure if it was meant to be that those Asgard used modified ancient Ancient tech, or it was just to save money by reusing what were probably fairly expensive suits. I think Lt. James, while understandably pissed, is handling the Scott situation fairly well. Scott really comes off like a dirtbag with how he used her & just dropped her like she was nothing.
