This communication device is not the one Valla/Daniel used or the one Keller used. Those were big bulky round things. This one looks like an iPad. The assumption is that this one is human made using information gained from those other two. I'm sure the ancients didn't have to shoot it with a gun every they wanted to disconnect. We just didn't know how to do it. I'm sure when they built the human one, they designed in an easy disconnect.
