Most sheriffs in the U.S. are elected by vote. Kyle's mom didn't win the election. This show has always shined a light on the illegal alien debate in this country (a show about aliens was bound to tackle this topic), so they went further with it by bringing in a bigoted sheriff.

Feels strange right now, because I'm kind of worried about Kyle. Also, I hope your theory is right that Kyle is going to be alright now, but wrong that he dies later and that he doesn't die at all. Max healed Kyle? Yay!? Jordan, he's made the top spot on my characters I don't like list, even above the ICE guys. Okay, now I have a deputy I have to add to my dislike list, why is my list getting so long. So the sheriff is also going on my dislike list, well this is going great. I forgot about Max's reporter girl hookup. So Isobel is worried about letting Jones heal Max because he's hiding something, okay, but we know he doesn't want Max dead. So it feels like we should go with Michael and just let him heal Max. Did I say something in a previous episode about how we should listen to Isobel more? I can't remember and I'm not going to try to for the sake of agreeing with Michael right now. I like that were seeing more of Arturo and Rosa, it feels like we haven't seen much of that in the show. It does suck that Rosa can't be herself. Gregory, have I said it before, I like Gregory, is this getting old? She's making Kyle were a bulletproof vest, that's great. Also, why did Kyle's mom stop being sheriff again? Because everything seems to suck now. Jordan...I don't have anything to say, I can't even come up with an ugh or a joke insult of some kind, I just want him not on my screen. Wyatt shot Liz, attacked Arturo, went after Rosa, how on earth did Jordan make me dislike him so much more. So Josh is coming to Roswell, interesting. Josh used the words "sucking the life force out of you", is that why Max is doing so good and she's not. I like that were having more Michael and Kyle scenes, but we say things like "alien and all" rather loudly when were in public sometimes. There are people around, I mean does Gregory know about the "alien and all" because he was right there. (sarcastically) Sure Josh, believe Liz, you absolutely do not have to be threatened by Max, she definitely doesn't have any strong feelings for him at all. Why do I just not trust Jones at all? Gross, lets not bring up Noah, thanks. Ugh, the deputy and sheriff, why is everyone annoying me so much this episode. Now there's random people attacking Arturo, leave him alone...leave Rosa alone to, random fire extinguisher, not going to ask questions, just glad it got rid of them. Wow, some strong manipulation from Jones, bringing up Noah again. Sending Josh away on busy work to keep him out of it, do I want Josh to know what's going on, I feel like I want him to know, but that's probably a bad thing, this being Josh thing is a problem. Yes, everybody team up to take down Jordan, hit him with a bus, nope, nope, I, uh, meant just take him down, like in a legal, normal, not killy way. Jordan, he keeps finding ways to be the worst, nice one Max's reporter hook up, I'm going to try not to forget you again. Okay, so were doing this, Jones is healing Max are the only 2 people(because there was no one else) Max has ever healed and tethered to will die...oh, wait, never mind were not...oh, wait, I guess we are doing this. You didn't want to hurt me so you sent me to look for a doctor who doesn't exist, okay then. Did you think I wasn't going to realize the doctor didn't exist, I mean, how is that less bad than saying you needed to talk to Max in private. Dang, Josh is making me sad right now. Wow, someone apologized to Rosa for putting her in the drivers seat. I liked this scene with Rosa and Michael. Is it just me or did it feel like Rosa was a little secluded from the rest of the cast or something. When she shared that scene with Kyle awhile back, then her dad in this episode and everyone at the bar, Maria at the barn and now Michael. Each scene felt like, hey she's finally sharing a scene with this person. Feeling sus, you and me both. I felt sus when he didn't ask about Kyle, I know where supposed to think he cares about Liz so much he forgot about Kyle, but that just doesn't feel like Max but who knows. Should I be worried that ash is falling...yes apparently I should be worried. What? What happened? Also, now I'm more confused about being sus of Max because he seemed so worried about Maria there.
